Telford International Centre hotel

Although the room and breakfast were upto the usual high standard of Premier Inns, we were very disappointed with the appalling slow service and restricted choice in the restaurant for dinner on 2 nights. On the first night, there were no peas and tartare sauce with the fish & chips. On the second night, there were no fish & chips !

Great location, stayed 1 night for some early christmas shopping. Room clean and comfortable, staff friendly and always seem to be working so hard every time we visit. Hoping to book to stay again once the christmas market starts.

We arrived Saturday afternoon, nobody available on reception, bar closed, restaurant closed. Sundays Breakfast service was a shambles, supposed to start at 7am no staff to be seen in or around the restaurant for breakfast service, 7.05 staff member turns up, and seated us, no hot food ready. 7.35am x2 staff appeared to get a coffee for themselves and a little snack, had to ask about hot food and how long it would be etc? Was then told they’d be plating it, instead of the buffet that we had expected, Order was taken, food came out a few minutes later, the bacon looked barely cooked and everything but the mushrooms was cold. No restaurant service available again Sunday night. Thankfully Mondays breakfast service was a lot better thanks to kylie who was present, very helpful, very polite and pleasant, same to be said for Alison the lovely cleaning lady, who was so lovely even at 4am in the morning. In our 48 hr stay we seen 4 staff members in total, no receptionist present the whole time, the services expected were highly lacking, whilst the room was clean as we would expect, the lack of staff presence, no restaurant facilities for the evening and Sundays breakfast “service”, have left us very disappointed.

We arrived to a hotel very late it was around 22.00 finding the entrnce was terrible was walking in circles finally found it. The sign in is self-service and there were no one there. When we got to the room... it wasnt family room it was just double room wit two additional kids foldable beds. Unfortunately when we strted to making beds for kids we couldn't find beddings for blankets and pillows...we stoped.. then i asked daughter to go shower after 5h long drive.... she went in bathroom and there was only 1 face towel and 1 shower towel... so how the rest of 2 adults and 13 years old boy will dry themselfs after having shower? Also there was not even one bottle of water left in the room... and there were no place where to buy one at such hour.... we went again to reception to ask for things that was missing..Unfortunately no one was there and no one helped us... thanks good we spend only one 1 night there and in the morning continued our journey. Im very disappointed with this hotel..... paid a lot and didnt recieved anything at all.

Arrived with young family on an early Saturday evening. Locating the entrance to gain access to the upper floor reception was tedious because it was not obvious at first glance (hotel is above restaurants) ended up doing a loop of the ground floor shops first before finding it. Door to upper floor was locked (which was reassuring) so had to buzz and wait to be let in (had to buzz a couple of times). Once in, checked in very quickly. Receptionist was really polite. Room was made up as a typical family room. We've stayed in a few Premier Inn's over the years, and so was surprised to find this room was dated in its decor. No ambient light over bedhead, which reduced lighting options for getting kids to be bed without sitting in complete darkness. Old wardrobe setup with a really poor hairdryer too. These criticisms are trivial I suppose, but given the hotel was built far later than some of the others we have stayed in, we were surprised to find it having the old decor (maybe its due to be refurbished at some point?). Other than that, there were obvious scuff marks/paint chips and indentations on the walls which was a let down, and the soap dispenser was oozing brown liquid when pressed!!??? Not from the nozzle but from around the rim of the bottle... not good! Was relatively quiet considering it was a central location, located above restaurants and nearby bars. Didn't hear any other guests too. Some stains on carpet under beds, but only found these following a sweep of the floors to check for socks and toys before leaving. All in all, okay stay. Booked last minute so happy to have gotten a room. Bed was comfy (as they are these days). Just expected the decor to have been modernised.
