"Standard Premier Inn but just try finding the entrance"
Usual Premier Inn with a one night stay being fine.
Try finding the way in though..... you have to go through the pub next door as the only signposted entrance you need a keycard for which you don't get until you have checked in and nobody answers the bell.
Rooms standard Premier Inn and good value IF you keep an eye on the dynamic pricing. Didn't meet any staff at all so can't comment on the staff.
Parking is easy when you know how but if you don't know how is not easy.

"One night stay"
Booked online.
I must have not seen or realised the car park is not near the ice rink!
But only got charged £8 for a 17 hr stay
Hotel was ok.
Was really a resting place for a sporting event locally. QR reader was not working as it should had to call for assitance
Overall good room. Very quick hot water from sink
Very good breakfast. But limited info on what times resturant opened

"Probably my worst premier inn experience"
In need of a refurbishment and some better staff support. Carpets pretty worn and dirty. Check in was efficient rather than warm and friendly. Room again felt worn and drab. Cleaning questionable with bits on floor and two dried out contact lens on the table. Noise from outside was distracting but thankfully stopped late at night.
Evening meal was painful experience. Almost two hours for a starter and main. The hotel was full, restaurant busy but not many eating....but for some reason only two members of staff. One in kitchen one for everything else.....taking orders, sorting drinks, sorting reception including the intercom, sorting bar, sorting the people who came to collect a huge amount of left luggage, taking meals out and more. It was busy due to events at the centre but not many were eating but the manager should be appalled at the staffing decisions. Meal was not great, very dry chicken coujon burger and lukewarm.
Breakfast was not much better.
Lukewarm and dry brittle bacon. Pastries not cooked properly. Very limited jams. Staff OK.
Overall probably the worst premier inn ive been too. The company needs to help them out with a refurb (could have started as corridors had smell of paint) and a decent manager that is kept an eye on. I couldn't really fault the effort of the lady on duty Sunday night. I couldn't have blamed her if she had walked out!

"Fantastic Staff"
This was a typical Premier Inn but what made it a really nice stay was the staff. They were exceptional. Really friendly and funny and welcoming.
We were slightly dismayed when we arrived as we hadn't realised Telford is basically a shopping centre. However the rooms were clean and it was quiet at night despite there being a sort of fun fair outside our window during the afternoons and evenings. The breakfasts were really nice. Overall a decent Premier Inn made exceptional by the great staff!

"No customer service"
Arrived early and was looking to drop off a suitcase (as we have done on previous visits). Waited until 2 team members stopped chatting and asked if I could leave my suitcase and check-in, if our room was ready. The team member was abrupt and rude, telling me that I could check-in at a cost of £15, and the left luggage was full but I could leave my case in an unlocked room but the hotel wouldn't be responsible for it. When I returned after check-in time there were 2 new team members on duty. After the customer in front of me had been dealt with I approached the desk, and was ignored by the team members as they chatted and consulted their computer. Eventually, one asked for my surname, then the other asked for my first name. There was no conversation and no eye contact. I was handed my room key, told my room number and they started talking to one another. Again, no customer service or focus. Our room was fine, although the corridor and room temperature were too hot. The temperature control only turned the heating down to 19 degrees and, because the windows didn't open, the room was very stuffy and stale. After our third night, we both had sore throats. After our second night, I asked if our room could be serviced and was disappointed to find that the bed had not been 'made' and clean towels were simply placed on the 'unmade' bed. The customer service was terrible, with the exception of the team member who assisted with our parking validation. All in all, our visit was less than we expected and the customer service has gone downhill rapidly. Will think twice about returning.
