Very below average.Where they fail is not having the option to open windows or even a window Plus they need to update their very tired looking hotels.Wr stay only when there are no alternative options.

"Terrible smell"
I stayed on the 2nd floor at the very end of the corridor. There was a nasty smell as I turned the last corner which carried on into the room. It was similar to that of washing that had been left wet in the machine for a couple of days. The staff member on reception was unable to help as there were no other available rooms, he did give a spritz of air freshener, unfortunately this burnt your nostrils and could not elimiate the smell that crept back. I had to left all of my belongings zipped in my bag to prevent them for taking on the smell and shower immediately before leaving the room to prevent the stench gripping onto my clothes.

The receptionist at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. Always a cheery smile and asking if our room was okay, which it was. Our only complaint was the food next door. The dinner was just out of the freezer, but the service was good. The breakfast in the morning was a good selection but was luke warm. Perhaps better equipment for hot holding. The ladies serving gave excellent service and were very friendly.

Come here in August for V Festival or the Shrewsbury Flower Show, or in June for the Cosford Air Show. Then come back to the hotel for a tasty meal in our Beefeater restaurant, and a comfy bed.
