"Stay at Premier Inn Shrewsbury City Centre"
Great location for accessibility to town centre and close to the railway station. Bus station next door. We were able to leave our bags before check in at 3pm. The check in machines didn't work so we had to queue for the only staff member on reception. Staff were friendly and professional. There was a slight mix up regarding our twin room as I had requested two single beds (double zip link option) and they had allocated a double bed with sofa bed. However they honoured the booking. The room was basically clean although there was the odd hair on one of the beds and in the bath. The bath with overhead shower could be updated but the pressure was excellent. We had breakfast on the day of departure. They accommodated for vegetarians bringing veggie sausages and 'bacon' to the table. Good value for money.
"You know what you're getting"
It's a Premier Inn so you know exactly what you're getting. As it's mid-summer, the light excluding curtains were very welcome but the sealed windows (which I'd known about) less so. Indeed I removed one star because I couldn't get proper fresh air which I prefer in my bedroom all year. The view of the river was pleasant. The exterior of this particular Premier needs tarting up - it looks really tatty outside although it's not as bad inside. The area around the back door / car park feels threatening and scary at night - I didn't go to fetch something from my car as I didn't think I'd feel safe. The young man on reception around 4pm was very welcoming and helpful.
"Not the best"
The car park was a nightmare to begin with. No spaces available so had to pay to use the car park next door. We paid the extra money to get the premier plus room, which is supposed to have a view, our view was the bar across the road. The hairdryer in the room was really dodgy and the electric kept cutting out so I was scared to use it. The tv remote didn’t work properly and the light by the mirror was also broken. The only positive about the trip was the breakfast which was very good, lots of choice and not overly busy.
"Amazing Night Staff And Stay"
The hotel was in beautiful condition, the room was presented perfectly, Tracey and Allison (night staff) made us feel so welcome, especially tracey, she was very friendly and was very helpful, i will definitely be visiting again just for these amazing workers! they don’t get enough recognition 🩷🩷
"Very pleasant stay"
We had a lovely stay at the Premier inn shrewsbury. All the staff their were really pleasant and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a premier plus room which was nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. No complaints at all and we would definitely stay here again.
