Oswestry hotel

I booked a night at this hotel for the bank holiday weekend whilst I was away visiting family. You can’t fault the hotel in terms of cleanliness, comfort and space. However, if you are a light sleeper like me, forget about it. There was loud banging from doors closing all the time throughout the night. There was a man next door who was shouting in pain, it felt like he was in my room as the walls are so thin. And this is with me wearing ear plugs. I barely managed to sleep a couple of hours which is unacceptable and disappointing when you have paid £115 for the room. It should have been a great weekend, but this took the shine off it. Then back to work in the NHS nursing poorly patients on no sleep, thanks a lot.I will not be staying there again. A real waste of time and money.

I was initially quite nervous and apprehensive about staying at Oswestry Premier Inn, as I had never been to the area before and was travelling alone for study purposes. A special mention has to go to Alfie, who was absolutely amazing at check-in. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming and patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions and making sure I had a room that was suitable for my needs. His kindness immediately put me at ease. The cleanliness of the rooms were impeccable, and minimal noise levels even though the hotel is placed on a business park. The location was also ideal for my study/business travel, making it really convenient to get around. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Oswestry Premier Inn, particularly for anyone travelling alone for work or study. Thank you to all the staff, and especially Alfie!

Not great but saved by your staff member Alfie. The room should have been cleaned but no, Alfie sorted our towels and bits. Tried the meal deal as they’ve gotten rid of the chain pubs, now branded as Social, well the kitchen staff are obviously not up to standard, well waited 35 minutes for the starter, Alfie made sure the main meals came out promptly. It’s people like Alfie that need promotion Whitbread!!!!!!

Caroline and her colleague were amazing when the booking system appeared to have put us in a double room when we had requested a twin. Caroline found a room with a second bed made up. Later that evening Caroline was very welcoming when we went for. Nightcap. The beds were amazing and we both slept amazingly well.

Another stay here in Oswestry and as always we had a great stay, stopped over before heading to Wales with my friends 😊, nothing to fault at this premier inn, all the staff are so helpful and friendly - thank you again for a fab stay!!
