Oswestry hotel

A good, clean room. Unfortunately overpriced. Travelodge is half the cost, being done up - so would stay there next time. Must too expensive.

Stayed 1 night in.March 26 Good - easy to find near main roundabout, easy check in, clean room, warm room. Bad - enter vehicle registration when checking in. Did not have breakfast so can’t comment on bar and restaurant which is part of hotel.

I submitted this review and Trip Advisor said it didn’t meet their guidelines but I can’t see why and they don’t explain - though I changed the title from ‘depressing’? Parking and check in is straightforward but your heart sinks as you walk to the room along the depressing corridor. And the room is so outdated and dingy looking. Glass cups (why?) but no glasses, not even a disposable one for the bathroom. The fan doesn’t work in the bathroom and the water in the sink takes around 5 minutes to start to run warm (no joke). The heating is difficult to control.i submi

Just what you'd expect of a Premier Inn. A spotlessly clean comfortable room but this one also has staff who are welcoming, friendly and good at their jobs. Reception staff were great and the breakfast supervisor gives people a genuinely warm welcome while making sure that tables are cleared and cleaned ready for the next batch of diners. My only gripe was the weak wifi signal but i was able to use phone etc as the EE signal was good. I didn't want to pay any extra. The restaurant is in an adjacent building but only a few steps away. The huge car park was never full and parking was free for the white-listed cars of hotel residents. The hotel was an excellent base for exploring National Trust properties and gardens at Chirk Castle and at Powis Castle - plus well w

We made a bit of a mess up with our booking and a very cheerful Caroline was excellent in sorting it out. We stayed in a Premier Plus room, a brand new block, which is well decorated with excellent facilities
