Witney hotel

I just spent 3 nights at this excuse for a hotel. The building is tired, carpets shabby, rooms tatty (even the so-called Premier Plus room that we paid extra for was shabby and not particularly clean). Coffee/tea making options in-room are pitiful, noisy car park at night and on 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed here we were told we couldn’t eat in the restaurant; on the first night because they had a party of 10 coming half an hour later and the ‘chef’ couldn’t cope(?!?!), and on the third night because ‘there was a problem with the oven’ (although if we had pre-booked the meal deal, somehow the oven would somehow miraculously start working as other guests were being fed). Oh, and on the one night we did manage to persuade them to take our money in exchange for some food in the HOTEL RESTAURANT, the dining room was so cold I needed to sit in my coat. The staff are incompetent at best, or woefully idle and indifferent at worst. Premier Inn has nose dived in recent years generally. We have had disappointing stays in several of them now, but this experience has meant we are finally washing our hands of them.

Welcoming and friendly, clean and tidy overall good stay great service. Cant fault anything carparking was great too.

We were only staying one night for a friends reunion. The hotel was busy because of a wedding party staying at the same time. Nonetheless we experienced excellent customer service at check in- we felt most welcome.

I stayed for 1 night and went for breakfast on the morning of the 24th. I got to the restaurant and waited to be seated as the sigh says but no one was around so seated myself so did 1 more guest. There was no bread and no Juices I spoke to the chef who was very accommodating and got me some bread and filled the orange juice up the breakfast was lovely and I know premier inn breakfasts are a help yourself buffet. But where are your staff?

We just had to leave a review for the wonderful Sarah in reception at the Premier Inn, Witney! We’ve stayed in a lot of Premier Inns and they’re pretty similar but it’s the staff which can make all the difference to the stay - Sarah was always busy but made a special effort to spend time with us sharing local tips and recommendations ( like Blenheim Palace) and providing us with clean towels as soon as we asked.
