Oxford South (Didcot) hotel

Very disappointing experience Electronic check in unserviceable and receptionist was dealing with a complaint on our arrival The room key would not activate the lights so went back to reception and was given an additional key to make the lights work Room 138 looked tired, the carpet didn’t look clean the toilet had stains and the bathroom bin had not been emptied The saving grace was the bed which was fresh and very comfortable

Pleasant, hassle free, no complaints, apart from having to pay extra for parking. Good breakfast. Overall value for money.

We stayed in room 20 on 22nd May, when we arrived we were hit by a terrible smell of damp, we opened the window and put a fan on. We had been driving 6 hours and tried to find a member of staff but had no luck so took our young child for dinner and gave up. The room was so bad that we picked up chesty coughs, I couldn’t sleep and 2 brand new books were left completely warped. We reported it to premier inn before check out via WhatsApp and feedback form the next morning as we couldn’t find anyone. I was up struggling to breathe in the night. We have been informed that as we didn’t tell anyone they wouldn’t do anything, my biggest concern is that people shouldn’t stay in a room of that condition, someone will get ill and there was no one to be seen to report it to. Hopefully it will be resolved before anyone else stays in there.

I always find staying at this hotel very comfortable. The service we receive is always friendly with the staff paying attention to my kids. The food is always lovely and the rooms Spotless. I would always recommend staying here.

Stayed at Premier Inn Oxford South and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The location is convenient if you’re driving, with easy access into Oxford without being right in the middle of the busy city centre. Parking was straightforward, which made things much less stressful. The room was exactly what you’d expect from a Premier Inn – clean, comfortable, and well laid out. The bed was especially good (as always), and I had a really solid night’s sleep. Everything felt well-maintained and quiet, which I really appreciated. Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival, and check-in was quick and easy. Any interactions I had were positive and helpful without being over the top. The on-site restaurant was decent for both dinner and breakfast – nothing fancy, but good value and convenient. Breakfast had a good range and set me up well for the day. Overall, it’s a reliable if you’re visiting Oxford and want somewhere comfortable to stay without paying city centre prices. Would definitely stay again.
