Oxford Cowley hotel

This is the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I will be passing information on to everyone I know. Totally unacceptable Premier in. Cowley Oxford Room 424 Spent night 30th august … Stinks dreadful smell Soap dispenser spiked and corroded Tap handle in sink chipped No plug in bath so not able to bathe Shower screen seal partly missing and hanging off screen door Milk pots curdled so couldn’t have a cup of tea

Thank you Silva! We had issues checking in having booked with a third party (never again!) but Silva dealt with everything quickly, professionally and with a smile. He even sorted out our WiFi access. We’re very greatful. We’ve sated here before (Oxford Cowley) and it’s our favourite hotel for Oxford, on the main bus route and always welcoming and clean. Well placed to take the excellent 500 bus straight into town (fast bus with very few stops). Comfortable bed, as always. If you like to sleep with the window open, be sure to request a room at the back. The road at the front is busy and the AC is just as noisy! We tried a couple of rooms and it seems that all their AC units make this loud swishing, swirling noise. It's fine for the first 10-15 mins or so, then the noise starts. They really need to get this sorted. Hoovering could be more thorough - I found a dried up contact lens on the carpet. Rooms were fairly priced, but they charge a daily rate for parking, which seems a bit cheeky when the hotel is so far out of Oxford centre.

Lovely premier plus room, usual comfy bed and good amenities. No outside noise (1st floor room), easy checkin via the automated system - however there was a serious problem with either drainage or a hidden leak in the bathroom which resulted in the stench of damp/mould in there being unbearable.

The sheets had yellow marks on them. The extra pillows didn’t have the tamper seal on so we couldn’t use them. We didn’t have enough towels in the room. There was no toilet facilities in reception area and I was told to go to restaurant. My room was 1st floor at the back and I was awaiting a taxi to go to hospital in Oxford. Breakfast was very poor. The fried breakfast was dry, especially the eggs. I asked for poached but they were not good either. Disappointed having to pay for the parking too. Anyone using the restaurant don’t pay if just visiting for a meal. The parking used to be free for hotel guest but that’s changed. I’ve stayed here over 4 years but it has definitely changed and is not as nice as it used to be.
