"Best premier inn we stayed in"
We really enjoyed our stay and loved this premier Inn, I'm a wheelchair user and absolutely loved the fact there are ground accessible rooms, meaning I don't need to use a lift to access it. We were in a separate building from the main one, which wasn't an issue was still accessible and had everything we needed. There is a lift in both buildings for those who need it, and they was both working. Our room was a lovely different style, only issue was the TV was in the corner not by the bed and we only had one towel for 2 of us. Would stay again we slept incredibly well
"Nice room but a bit too far out"
Check in was quick. The room was great. Plenty of space. Bathroom was spotless. Nice and quiet until people in room above moved about. Sounded like a herd of elephants. Our room key de-activated twice while we were there but was quickly sorted. Breakfast room was a bit grotty. Hot breakfast was only OK. A bit overcooked. But a good selection of hot and cold breakfast options. You must book your table for breakfast at reception beforehand. €12 for 3 nights parking was very reasonable considering it's £7.60 an hour for on street parking, (if you can find it) in Oxford city centre. A bit too far out of town to walk, but bus stop across the road. £10 for a daily family ticket to be used as many times as you like until midnight.
"A standard experience."
Standard Premier Inn. We appeared to have an elephant moving about in the room above, so surprised at the poor sound insulation between floors. A/c unit rumbled like someone with a rumbling tum! I still resent having to pay to park the car. The adjacent Beefeater allows you grace, but you still have to sign the car in at reception.
"Convenient for Oxford sight seeing"
A covenient place to stay when sight seeing in Oxford. Clean comfortable room, we upgraded to premier plus, very comfy bed. Bathroom had a large walk in rain shower. Tea and coffee and a small fridge were all in the room. Despite being close to the eastern by pass it was very quiet. The hotel is on a business park so there is not a lot around in walking distance. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, the 500 runs approximately every 15 minutes straight into the centre of Oxford, £9 return pp. The meals are at the beefeater on site. The food was okay but the cooked breakfast was hit and miss. It did not help when the restaurant duty manager had a stand up row with the chef. Would definately stay here again when visiting Oxford.
"Someone tried to break into our room while we were sleeping"
Check-in was friendly and simple. Room was as expected. From 12.15am onwards someone tried three separate times to enter our room. We rang the reception and when eventually they answered we were told in no uncertain terms "you are in the wrong room". How could we be in the wrong room when the key card we had been given was for the room we were in? A very scary experience, if we hadn't locked the door before we went to sleep what would have happened then? The receptionist eventually apologised and said we could stay in the room (we had no plan to move either way) and she would look into the mix up. The following morning when we went to check out the Duty manager Christian was very apologetic and offered us a free breakfast which we were happy to accept. The consequences of this experience could have been much worse but thanks to us locking our door we were kept safe. A VERY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE.
