"The good, bad, and ugly"
Despite the hardworking and gracious staff—who seamlessly juggle housekeeping, front desk duties, and waiting tables—our stay was severely undermined by a total lack of guest support.
While the room itself was adequate, the spacious bathroom had a major flaw: zero drainage, leaving standing water continuously pooled across the floor.
The real problem, however, was the complete absence of service. There are no phones in the rooms and no on-site maintenance staff. When I requested help for the standing water, repeated promises of someone arriving never materialized. The breaking point came on my third day when the manager explicitly instructed me to go to my room and wait for maintenance. I wasted five hours of my final afternoon waiting for help that never showed up, eventually giving up to go to dinner.
Being short-staffed is one thing, but keeping a paying customer waiting on ghost service for five hours is inexcusable.

"Don't expect to get food at the restaurant!"
The restaurant was terrible. It was understaffed and the food took a very long time to arrive. When it did arrive it was completely different from what was described in the menu. When I complained I was told that's what they've got, take it or leave it. I was also told they don't do refunds even though they didn't bring the food I ordered. Fortunately I hadn't paid yet so I refused to pay. There were lots of tired, hungry children waiting and they were turning hotel guests away. Don't try and eat here!!
Also the bathroom smelled terrible and the beds were just thrown together.

"Botley, Oxford"
Quite a good stay - parking on the Botley Road greenspace seems to have improved and Botley itself seemed quite tidy, with reduced graffiti; a local problem is that new developments of apartments nearby (such as the Kimmeridge) , with no gardens, allow dogs that are toileted on the street - revolting! Landlords must not allow this!!! Some hotel guests leave junk in communal areas, such as the landings or corridors - this is quite horrid, possibly unhygienic, and sends all the wrong messages to other guests; management told me that this is standard practice across Premier Inn. If this is true, please do not encourage guests to leave any materials (including towels, linen and bins or bags of waste) in communal areas - if there's an issue guests can ask for a room service or, alternatively, take items directly to Reception. Thank you!

"Poor Bedrooms"
The room was clean, but unfortunately that was the only positive aspect of our stay.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and did not match what was advertised. The beds were much smaller than expected, as 5.6ft taller your legs hang over the edge. If two people share the bed, the middle frame separates, leaving a gap that you have to avoid throughout the night.
At £143 per night, the room was significantly overpriced considering the poor quality of the bed and bedding.
The female manager on duty was very rude and unhelpful. Her attitude made us feel as though we were asking for something unreasonable, rather than being paying guests. Customer service was disappointing and unprofessional.
I would avoid Premier Inn Botley if possible and would not stay here again.
I have uploaded room advertisement vs reality
£143 a night checking after 15:00 check out 11:00 not even 1 full day
