Oxford Botley hotel

I have stayed here several times before and have always been satisfied with the hotel. Staying in Oxford is not cheap and this offers a reasonable option and takes only 25 mins to walk into the city or less if you catch a bus just outside - however- this time I was extremely disappointed at how dirty our room was. I always think of Premier Inn as basic but clean - that was not the case and most especially not in the bathroom which I cleaned myself with the antibacterial hand gel I had taken. With little time to spend with the person I had gone to Oxford to visit, I just couldn’t be bothered to go to reception, complain, explain and hope that there was another room etc etc I have added a couple of photos I took quickly before going out. It should be easy for Premier Inn to fix this problem and if they do, I will be back.

We stayed for one night after a day trip to Oxford. For some reason they had us down as one adult to stay, when my booking confirmation stated quite clearly there were 2 adults staying. On first entering our room seemed clean and tidy enough, as per most Premier Inns. There was only one bath towel in the bathroom. I had to ask for another one.(I sent 2 emails trying to reserve a table for dinner, which received a reply, a day AFTER our stay).We spent a couple of hours chilling after a cold, busy day then made our way down to the restaurant, (in which we'd booked a 6pm table), maybe 10 minutes early. We were invited to have a drink at the bar before the kitchen opened. My husband doesn't drink but there was NO non alcoholic cider or beer available so he settled for a soft drink. The meals we had were ok,( not very hot) my husband's fish was very wet(undercooked?) & the bun my burger was in definitely wasn't a brioche bun & was crispy, which was not right. We've both had dodgy tummies today. My main complaint, however, is the disgustingly poor state of cleanliness of the shower tray and soap dispensers in our room's bathroom, (which smelt bad too). The dirt was so ingrained in the shower doors runner that we actually had huge trouble opening and closing the door to shower. Absolutely disgusting. Obviously NEVER been cleaned properly. We spoke to the receptionist when we checked out. She made a note of our room number, apologised, then carried on chatting to her colleague. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. We won't be staying here again.

Horrendous.. Apart from the inept staff who were clueless & the supervisor who blamed everyone else , the rooms stunk of stale food / musty …, paid £33 for breakfast & their was no food !!! Only 2 out of 9 options available for guests !! Only paid once but apparently it happened every day … Shocking…

The location was good for what we wanted. Public transport just outside and uber taxi cheap. The front of house staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel and room were acceptable for cleanliness. The lamps in the room were dusty inside. The room was quiet despite the busy road outside. AC not great so room was stuffy as window could not be opened. We booked breakfast for the 3 mornings we were there. It was a shambles. Not enough staff. Not enough food coming out. Having to wait for cooked items every day. Never a full buffet. The kitchen did not seem big enough, staff did not seem competent in what they were doing. Other staff sitting in foyer on their phones. What food was available was nice. Personal hygiene definitely lacking in the guy checking room numbers on last morning. Also did not seem competent in his job. Most guests very unhappy about breakfast experience. Bar closed most of the time.

stayed here for one night only , couldn't find any fault at all helpful check inn staff , nicely appointed good size room and a decent breakfast easy parking would definitely recommend
