"Restful break in February 2026"
Rates of standards out of 5:-
Westway Square, Botley.
Location - For the JR Hospital is 25 mins away - 3/5 Not an ideal spot for the hospital, because its not signed up particularly well in this part of Oxford.
Otherwise 4/5 for local amenities its good.
The Tempering Indian Restaurant is excellent, expect to pay approx £60 for a 2 course dinner with drinks. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and the owner is a very nice guy. 5/5 for this Restaurant.
The Piri Piri chicken takeaway is next to the Indian Restaurant.
The Co-op right nextdoor and a Tesco Express a minutes walk away.
Atmosphere - 5/5 Relaxed, helpful and friendly by staff. Amenities most in good condition, rooms have had an attempt of updating them, but still a long way to go to getting them into excellent condition. e.g. broken net curtains, chunks of carpets ripped up around bed. TV ambiguous, nowhere to plug in a USB cable, forget charging your phone if you didn't bring a charger.
The Thyme restaurant is pleasant and relaxing, sat in there for a drink before bed. Staff were excellent.
Rooms - 5/5 Very clean and tidy, very basic, extra pillows in cupboard and under the bed for another Duvet. Good condition, soft and fluffy. Bed in general is hard to medium. One chair and one Chaiselonge in our room. Not all have that. Bath tub side is high. (children will struggle too) I couldn't get in it, too high for me.
The rooms have their own aircon, which can be noisy. Too noisy to sleep with it on.
Value - 4/5 Yes, Excellent value for money for a mid week break.
Cleanliness - 5/5 The room and Bathroom were spotlessly clean, the hotel in general was very clean, the lifts could do with cleaning more often. But they are constantly in use. The price of Breakfast is quite pricey, considering the other takeaways around it and the supermarket. The evening meal is a good price. Drinks are average, its not competitively priced, its standard for the Premier Inn.
5/5 Parking is ONLY FREE if you register your car registration at reception. You have 2 hours to do so and its the multi storey to the left of the Premier Inn as you look at it from the main road. Plenty of Electric hook ups and disabled parking areas. We booked for 3 days because that is how long we stayed.
Noise level - 4/5 Considering its off of a main road and we were on the 3rd floor, the sound of the road couldn't be heard, the water could be heard from neighbouring rooms, and we were in a room that has an adjoining room to another, thankfully it was locked. The TV has a habit of its own, turning on when least expected, and occasionally stomping noises outside, but as we were right at the end of the corridor, it was very minimal. Housekeeping arrived early on the day we were leaving, as they'd forgotten us the day we were staying there, but the facilities like tea and coffee are downstairs in reception, just help yourself to extras.
For 2 nights there it was pointless they came after the 1st night anyway.
5/5 to log out and leave, just post your keycard in the box on your exit from the building.
Overall it was a nice stay. For our first time and the road system outside is a nightmare with signs pointing in all directions, you get so confused. (even with a satnav) I think it would be better to pick up the bus for town centre and leave the car behind, if you have the option.

"Great for convenience, but I would choose another place to stay next time."
Great if you just need somewhere conveniently located and cheap, but I wouldn't chose this hotel for anything more than that. Like lots of Premier Inn's now there was no member of staff at the check-in desk, you do it all yourself on their automated system, great for convivence but it feels a little less welcoming when the members of staff keep their head down and don't bothers to give a friendly smile, let alone a hello.
In terms of cleanliness, there were hairs in the bed (we were suspicious it hadn't actually been changed. There were also hairs all over and around the bath (not just one of two), more like someone had shaved over the bath, so it definitely hadn't been cleaned!

"Great Value Oxford"
We have just spent another weekend at this hotel. This offers excellent value for visiting Oxford. Free parking is a bonus . Room clean and exactly as expected. Staff at check in / check out very polite. Had breakfast on Sunday which was good value and plentiful. Would certainly stay again. We stayed on 1st floor and room was very quiet
