"How to brighten someone’s day."
Love Premier Inn and how consistent they are across the country. You know what you’re getting and they are generally well
priced. Now.. let’s talk about the Botley Oxford Prem. For several years we have been here. It’s well located and what you’d expect but what cracks me up, every single time, is the lady who cooks the morning breakfast. This lady needs a vast amount of joy in her life. I have never met such a sad dinner lady who never has a smile, definitely isn’t up for a little chat. Who knows, perhaps she’s had a rough morning. Therefore I challenge you reader to visit Botley Premier Inn and throw this lady a smile, ask her how her day is going and spread a little joy. It’s contagious and it might brighten up her day as she snatches your croissant from your plate as she is inconvenienced to warm it through. Let’s set our attention towards helping her improve her customer service and learn to love those who frequent there.

"Spend Your Money Elsewhere - other Premiers are much better!"
room was far from clean! carpet obviosly hadn't been vacuumed - shower screen base was disgusting, again hadn't be properly cleaned for ages. The mattress was very noisy and worn out. No glasses for water, only one teaspoon, 2x tea bags, and 3x coffees for a 3day stay. Not Impressed at all.

"First class service"
Good hotel clean smart. Duty manager Jonathan and his staff went above and beyond to help. Can't praise them enough. Even sent our cardigan in post to us after we left it there. First class service.

"Ok For An Overnight Stay"
Booked this hotel for a reunion with old friends in Oxford. We only found out after we booked that the Botley Road into Oxford was closed due to rail station improvements so we couldn't get the but all of the way into Oxford. The bus, however was very conveniently placed just outside the hotel, we got the bus to Osney Bridge and walked into Oxford which was not a problem for us but may be for people who are mobility challenged.
We were a bit concerned about the parking arrangements after reading reviews on here but it was no problem at all, you just turn right under the hotel where there is plenty of parking on 2 levels. You register you car registration at reception for free parking.
First impression of he hotel were good, the hotel is surrounded by shops, a Co-op, Tesco Express etc and some independent coffee shops. Check-inn was seamless, we checked in via the Premier Inn app but there was someone on reception to help if needed.
Our room was on the top floor, we didn't have any road noise. The room was fine, the window did not open as a safety feature. The bathroom however needed a complete refurbishment, rusty soap holders and mouldy shower head, we opted to have a bath instead. The hot water tap in the bathroom did not work either, no hot water came out when we ran it.
We booked a twin room as we prefer separate beds but for some reason Premier Inn doesn't do twin beds so I slept on a spongy bed settee which had a slight tilt on it so didn't get a great nights sleep.
We didn't eat in the hotel as we had other arrangements.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the male on reception who let us take his lift down to the car park while he waited for another one.
All in all for us it was a convenient stay while visiting Oxford, we would stay for an overnighter but look for better accommodation if we were staying for a longer period of time.
