Oxford Botley hotel

We rented two separate rooms, one room had black mould all over the bathroom ceiling (room 221), the other had a clogged drain in the shower (room 417), -had to stop showering to avoid flooding the floor! Both bathrooms were poorly cleaned especially between the sliding shower doors and behind the shower head rail. I filled in the contact us on line comment form and no-one ever got back to me, the staff in the hotel appeared not to care and it seems management doesn't either, I even took pictures and offered to show them how bad their rooms were, they never replied so I'm posting the pictures here. Ignore any of the hotel propaganda you read about "Clean Protect" or their hygiene promise......this hotel chain just doesn't care!

I was here recently and had a great experience. Beds were very comfortable and the location was convenient. I was particularly impressed with the staff who were very friendly and helpful during breakfast despite it being a very busy morning. I believe it was Hula - she was particularly great helping my friend with some dietary requirements.

The hotel itself was fine. The service for our group of 56 was far below expectations. We signed up for the meal deal far in advance and were provided a skeleton menu, this wasn't communicated to us until the day of. The staff kept complaining about being understaffed when our booking was made 2 months prior. We we're seated to eat at 8pm and didn't get food until 9:40pm. We requested our room be cleaned after 3 days and received one clean towel.

I stayed here for a work trip and, as someone who regularly chooses Premier Inns for their reliability, this was by far the worst one I’ve stayed in. My initial room had a lot of mould - on the ceiling above the bed and on the bathroom walls and ceiling. It also had a strong, awful, damp smell. I requested a room change, which was granted, but the staff couldn’t have cared any less. My second room also smelled badly of damp. I overheard other guests requesting room changes because of mould in their rooms, so clearly a larger problem. The rooms were also just very grubby and needed a good clean and a hoover. A horrible stay, I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here.

Very nice hotel, clean , tidy, large room ,great breakfast, helpful staff. Only 10 minute taxi to Oxford city centre. Great parking for your vehicle 100 meters from hotel.
