    "Not like other premier inn's."
We arrived at 15.15 to an empty reception area, after waiting for someone to help us, was told we needed book online. This was ok for us, but what if someone didn't have the facility to go away and book online. Secondly when we got to the room, there was only one set of towels, we went back to reception to be told, someone would bring some later .... they never did. Cobwebs all around the ceiling. Dirt in the corner of the bath. Door card failed to work later, could not be remedied so was given a staff card. Breakfast next morning was only luke warm, not enjoyable. Had to pay for parking. We have stayed in many premier inn hotels and this one was definitely a disappointment.
"Friendly welcome. The gluten & dairy free breakfast was worth the wait."
Usually Self check in but when we arrived at smack on 3pm we were greeted by a friendly, patient and efficient man. My friend was worried about being able to get a gluten and dairy free breakfast. (Practically no gluten & dairy free food available at The Big Feastival). The lady checking everyone in for breakfast (and the cook) were very understanding.. The breakfast was cooked separately, giving peace of mind to enjoy a very good breakfast. Obviously it is usually a very busy time so we had allowed extra time but the wait was worth it! The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍
    "Gone right downhill - AVOID!"
Stayed here twice before and it was all great tbf but a very different story this time unfortunately. They lacked staff, so the service was excruciatingly slow and was surly when we did eventually get served. (Amy was good but lacked knowledge tbf). We were offered a refund for the dinner and the breakfast ( there was nothing cooked) but have not received this.
    "Avoid"
Absolutely terrible. All of the machines in reception were broken. Staff did not care about issues. More than half the menu for dinner was unavailable. No chef turned up.in the morning so no breakfast provided except some very stale pastries and cereal with no milk. Coffee machine had no milk. Staff shrugged shoulders and were unbothered.
"Great location but very short staffed and restaurant often closed."
We stayed here for a long weekend, 8 - 11 August. We had booked the meal deal for our stay but only 2 mornings had hot breakfasts available and we could only have one evening meal as the restaurant was closed as the main member of staff who was often the only one there said the chef wasn't working on those dates. We did get a refund, which was dealt with quickly. The staff who were there were always as helpful as they could be, but they were simply very short staffed, especially considering it was the peak of the holiday season. The car park was spacious and we had to pay but didn't mind as it wasn't too expensive. The room was great and we were pleased it had air conditioning as the weather was very warm if not hot during our stay. It wasn't far to walk into town, and it was also easy for us to drive to various attractions. If anyone from Premier Inn reads this review and others on this site, please can you sort out the staffing issues as it did make our stay less enjoyable than it might have been.
