"Disappointing....scaffolding around the hotel, so the views aren't pleasant"
We have stayed at this hotel before and had no issues, but this time was disappointing.
The hotel is surrounded by scaffolding which wasn't a very nice view from the bedroom. The room we stayed in 227 looked directly into another bedroom of the building opposite, so they could see in our room and we could see in theirs. This was very off-putting being able to see what they were doing, and I'm sure it was for the occupants of the place opposite.
I've had both hips replaced and found the height of the bed incredibly high, and I struggled getting my legs up high enough to get on it. Also the bath was difficult to get in and out of safely. The bath was slippery when stood in it having a shower and I was worried about falling. The floors were dusty as well behind the door where it hadn't been mopped or swept properly.
The hairdryer in the room kept cutting out like there was a loose cable or it was just on the point of burning out. So it took ages to dry my hair because of this stop-start business.
We stayed for breakfast which was nice. Overall this was a disappointing stay and not what we've come to expect from a Premier Inn.

"A very inaccessible, accessible sewer"
My wife and I stayed at Chipping Norton Premier Inn at the tail end of April '26 staying in an accessible room - some ambulatory need, use of wheelchair.
TL;DR: So essentially, issues raised with staff were fobbed off entirely. To be explicitly clear - if my partner was on their own they'd have been unable to operate the bathroom door from their wheelchair and would have had to put up with a vile stench for the duration of their stay.
Long form: Immediately upon entering, there was a stench of sewage present in the entire room (2nd floor - also mentioned in other reviews). Further olfactory inspection revealed the issue was clearly the bathroom drain. The stench was, bluntly, appalling. However, like any good customer, I assumed that it was a passing issue and we departed the hotel. Returning at around 10pm, the smell was present and stronger. Reporting this to hotel staff was met with "there's nothing we can do" and "it's a maintenance issue" followed by "but it's Friday night and we can't get anyone 'til Monday". Bringing that member of staff to the room confirmed that, indeed, the smell was "bad" and "unacceptable" but no accomodation was made to relocate us to either a different room or a sister hotel (both of which are things Premier Inn forces you to accept in their T&Cs).
The door to the bathroom, with it being an accessible room, is on rollers. This door was broken and clearly had been for some time. It left a 3-4" gap (couldn't isolate the smell) between the room and the bathroom. The state of the door was so poor that it could not be operated from a wheelchair. If I was not there, there is no way that my partner would have been able to use this accessible room without serious difficulty. Again, this was "a maintenance issue" and could not be resolved "until Monday" which is little good for a Fri/Sat stay.
I grabbed the hotel manager on the morning of the Saturday, the second member of staff. She was pleasant enough, came to the room to also inspect the issue and also agreed that it was particularly stinky and the door was indeed broken. Also zero real assistance "it's a maintenance issue, can't get anyone 'til Monday".
I requested a refund under Premier Inn's "good night guarantee" and have been told that because "these issues did not impact your sleep" that they will refuse to honour their guarantee. The feedback was passed onto the hotel management though... Yay.
The whole experience has really tainted my view of premier inn. They're normally really good when it comes to disabled access but this was deplorable and their commitment to dismissing my concerns as "maintenance issue" that could only be resolved after my stay whilst making absolutely zero effort to improve the stay was, bluntly, disgraceful. The inability for a disabled person to open and close the door to their room's bathroom should have been a high priority for them. They didn't care. "Can't get anyone 'til Monday, sorry".
Housekeeping missed the stench and the broken door, management dismissed the issues and offered no resolution and customer support dismissed the complaint because they've decided what did and did not impact my "great night's sleep".

"Ideal for short stay"
good position for the town only a short walk in to the centre with lots of bars and excellent choice of restaurants. Free parking in town at car parks max stay 12hrs not enough for overnight. Very little street parking.

"Chipping Norton premier inn"
Room clean and bed and pillows comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. The only downside is the parking, you have to register your car on the portal outside of the hotel on arrival, we stayed 2 nights and had to pay £9.
