This hotel is 5 star experience, I’m a regular and have never been disappointed. The staff all work so hard, the management is clearly doing a great job!

I stayed at the Premier Inn Chipping Norton from June 5th to June 8th, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by a severe incident on the first night. At around 11 PM, the entire hotel was evacuated due to the fire alarm. We were told later that the alarm had been intentionally triggered by management because another guest was allegedly using drugs in their room and caused an explosion by throwing their phone at a wall. The situation was so serious that both the fire brigade and police were called, and all guests (myself included) were left standing outside for nearly an hour in the middle of the night. While I understand that safety comes first, the whole ordeal was extremely stressful and unsettling. It was a major disruption, and my sleep was completely ruined. When I raised this with the front desk and later by phone, I was told that the “Good Night Guarantee” did not apply since the alarm was for safety reasons. I find this very disappointing, as the disruption was due to a preventable incident involving criminal activity on the premises—not just a random or external event. I would have expected at least some gesture of goodwill or compensation, but none was offered. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel and would urge management to reconsider how they handle such exceptional situations in the future.

Amazing one night stay here. Location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk into the town. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a lovely view of the countryside. Great sleep, didn’t hear a single peep all night long. No road noises or disturbances. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Stayed for one night whist in the area on business. The hotel is located just north of the centre of Chipping Norton, with most of the town in easy walking distance. The hotel has a reasonable sized car park, although this costs an additional £3 (not sure why this cant be included in the room price as the location doesn’t seem to have many public transport options?). The hotel has automatic check-in machines, although there were staff in the adjacent restaurant area on hand if needed. The room was a reasonable size, and clean but had some damage / scrapes to the walls, and smelt a little musty, not helped by the fact that the window didn't open. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great but was useable. The bed was firm but comfortable and gave a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had a bath / shower combo however the temperature of the shower was moderately warm rather than hot. Breakfast was buffet style with the usual Premier Inn selection of cold and hot options.
