"Not great…."
Room decor is now very dated. I don’t think you should have to pay extra for a “Plus Room” just to get a cleaner / more comfortable stay. Stains on the carpet / walls, mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, around the bath. One of the bedside lights didn’t work. Overall very disappointing stay. Would not come back.

"Unclean, Unhelpful, Unprepared and RUDE"
1) I was told by the call centre to book online and then contact the hotel to book interconnecting rooms as we were travelling with an autos tic teenage girl, (who is not our child) who has complex needs and cannot have her own room as she is 13 years old physically and much younger mentally and emotionally. After booking, I could not get in touch with the hotel despite holding on two separate occasions for over an hour.
Eventually on the second day I got through to the hotel and was advised that they couldn’t do anything about my booking as the only available interconnecting rooms were triple rooms and I had booked a 4 and a 2. I was told that I would have to call the call centre and book especially for what I wanted.
Upon calling the call centre back, after being put through to the hotel by them, it was closed. (This is day 2 of trying to sort this out and the day before travel).
The morning of check-in, my husband called and was put through, (by the call centre), to the hotel. This time they changed our rooms without an issue but did tell my husband that the problem previously had been that one room was out of action because of an ac issue. But they had found us another suitable room; we just had to book another room for our grown up son. (Which I had also been trying to do on previous calls) and that was no issue.
2) We arrived to interconnecting rooms with a double bed in each. No major issue, my husband is went to reception and we made up the trundle bed. With the ripped linen we were given. Not a major issue to us, as it was already late and we just wanted to sleep.
3) I had to clean both bath tubs as they had a scum line around them which visibly came off on my hand when I rubbed it. The rest of the room was also not cleaned properly, with rubbish in one drawer and sticky menus and receipts in another and generally dusty and in need of a good hoover.
4) we went to try and get some more milk and a fork. I was told by the man on reception that he had finished the milk the night before and there was no more left and that the hotel didn’t have forks but the restaurant would. It was already closed by this time.
5) The ac unit! My major complaint was that even after turning this off, it gurgled and bubbled every half an hour or so all night! It was impossible to sleep properly. Upon going to report this at reception and pressing the bell, nobody came.
6) After trying to make the best of it and getting up, getting the children ready and heading over for breakfast we were told very rudely that ‘we would have to book like everyone else’ and that they were unable to fit us in. Despite a number of empty tables, a half empty car park and it almost being 10am. When I say this lady was rude, I don’t just mean I was being overly sensitive as I was tired, I mean she basically rolled her eyes because we hadn’t pre-booked (had we have slept properly we would have left much earlier and had planned a breakfast at Bicester village, which we missed). And acted as though I had asked for special treatment; which I most certainly had not, I simply said we were staying over the road would it be possible to get a table for 6? I’ve honestly never been spoken to so rudely by someone in a hotel restaurant at a breakfast sitting; especially when the room was not busy and it’s a buffet style.
A question further on has also prompted me to mention that we were unable to find a disabled space, however there were plenty of other nearby spaces, just without room for the children to get out and wait beside the car whilst we unloaded. Not a massive issue, but worth mentioning as at least one of the other vehicles in a disabled space had no badge. (This isn’t something I would usually even bother about, but since you asked…) theee was a sign inside about reporting this issue, but I genuinely didn’t want to complain as I just wanted to sleep.
All in all, this was the worst premier inn stay in e have ever experienced and as business account holders, it has made us question our loyalty to the brand

"Not usual PI standards"
Friendly staff but room standard and cleanliness is way below average for a PI. We are used to them being consistently clean. Mould and dirt in the showers and the skirting boards were filthy with paint peeling off. We paid extra for a plus room but was in a tiny room with marks and rips in the furniture. The mattress was not usual PI standard as there were springs hanging out! A £4.50 parking charge is also steep for a retail park that isn’t busy overnight. Great location for Bicester but unless cleanliness and standards increase we won’t be back.

"Be very careful if you book a Premier Plus Room expecting air conditioning."
Be very careful if you book a Premier Plus Room expecting air conditioning.
My wife and I specifically booked this hotel and a Premier Plus Room because it was advertised as having air conditioning. When we arrived for our early check-in, the room felt a little warm. We assumed the air conditioning only operated when we were in the room, so we left our bags. Headed out for the day.
When we returned, we discovered that the air conditioning was not working at all. We ended up getting little to no sleep that night.
The next day we brought the issue to the front desk. They said they were fully booked and could not move us to another room. Said they would look into the problem. When we returned that day, the problem had not been fixed, and our room was around 28°C.
As a result, we spent three out of our four nights with little to no sleep because of the heat. We were finally moved to a room with working air conditioning on our final night.
After all of this, the front desk staff told us that we would be eligible for a refund under Premier Inn's Good Night Guarantee. Unfortunately, that never happened.
We specifically booked a room that was advertised as having air conditioning (see photo). We were later told that on one of the pages of the booking process there was a notice stating: "There is no air conditioning at this hotel and the windows do not open." (See photo.) We were told this notice had apparently been in place for more than a year, so we were not entitled to a refund.
This is extremely frustrating. If the hotel knows there is no air conditioning, why is a room being advertised as having air conditioning?. If the front desk tells you that you will receive a refund because of the problem, you would reasonably expect that promise to be honored.
Unfortunately, in our experience, the promise of a refund turned out to be nothing more than an attempt to keep us happy at the time.
If you are booking this hotel during a summer weekend, be very careful and double-check exactly what you are being promised. You may book a Premier Plus Room expecting air conditioning only to arrive and find that there is none. Based on our experience, you may not receive a refund either.
