"Great hotel"
Great hotel. Very handy for M40. Clean, friendly with good restaurant. Bedroom clean and comfortable although showing signs of age and use
"Such a shame"
As a regular business user I found the service at this hotel very poor. Staff didn’t seem interested in any customers all of them gave an unhappy voice impression, the room was tired and temperature controls were working but the panel was broken making it dangerous to touch. I used the restaurant for dinner and again staff gave the place a poor atmosphere. Food was missing on the plate and looked poor. Also overhearing others waiting too long for food and some food just being forgotten. The price was on a level as the Hilton so I would expect that level of service. Why on earth premierinn charge that sort of money especially for regular business users is crazy and I’m better off being a Hilton regular.
"Functional hotel"
Very convenient location, breakfast good and rooms suitable, clean and comfortable. Nothing special but definitely functional. Book well in advance if you want to avoid being gouged with higher (more than double) stay rates.
"Best breakfast ever!"
Very easy to get to this Premier Inn just off the motorway. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed breakfast cooked by Tony. Best hotel breakfast ever. There is a Miller and Carter steakhouse on the same site which was good but the food in the Thyme restaurant at the Inn was also good in the evening. If you are there for shopping then retail park is a couple of minutes away and The Castle Quay shopping centre less than ten minutes away.
"Breakfast heaven"
A five star report for Tony and his staff in the breakfast kitchen. We have stayed in many Premier Inns, -so you think you know breakfast. Even though we were late in the sitting everything was PERFECT, and Tony’s poached eggs were sublime. Premier you need to get all your locations up to this standard.

Hotel description

Welcome to our Banbury (M40/J11) hotel, featuring our new-generation bedrooms each featuring an impressive 40" flat screen TV, bright, modern bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size bed. Premier Inn Banbury is a short distance from the town centre where you can see the fine lady upon a white horse (from the famous nursery rhyme) or go to the Banbury Museum. Venture further afield to navigate the Oxford Canal in a narrowboat and visit nearby Broughton Castle. Be careful not to overdo the Banbury cakes because Thyme, our onsite restaurant, will be waiting to serve you a tasty dinner.
