"PARKING FINES"
Hotel room ok. Hot, air conditioning came on during 2nd day. Food not good, but cheap (kids free). But the main problem is parking: BEWARE! I got stung with £60 parking charges TWICE. Once when the car park was full - I parked next to someone else who was on a double yellow (presumably they got fined too). Second time when I was leaving, i.e. parking outside to pick up suitcases. Horizon is a GREEDY company that allows no leeway, no grace, no nothing... so pay up, even if you're only there a few minutes!

"Lovely weekend stay"
My aunt and uncle stayed for 2 nights while visiting us from Kent. We live close by and they booked here on my recommendation. However, after reading reviews here, I was concerned that staying here was going to be a bad idea. Thankfully our concerns were unfounded. On check in, we were warmly greeted by Claire at reception. She explained everything to my aunt and uncle and advised us about the parking. The room was spotless, including the bathroom. My aunt and uncle said that they slept very well the 2 nights they stayed there. No issues with any road noise and they would be happy to stay there again. My aunt did mention that a chest of drawers might be useful in the room for people staying longer than 1 or 2 nights. Before their departure, we all had breakfast in the restaurant. The gentleman there explained very clearly how the breakfast worked. The cooked breakfast was very good, lots of choice and hot. The restaurant itself was very clean, as were the toilets. A good, filling breakfast before we drove them back home to Kent after their weekend visit with us.
Thank you to all the lovely staff at The Premier Inn Abingdon!

"Excellent stay"
Firstly the car parking is really clear as you arrive. There is a machine outside and a massive sign as you enter the building telling you to pay. It’s £4.50 for one day which I think is fine to be honest. Our room on the first floor was set up for the 4 of us and was clean and functional. The air conditioning worked well. We heard a little bit of noise from the road but only sirens from emergency services and nothing else.
I am gluten intolerant and the staff here have the best plan for this to ensure safety - they clean down the table and provide brand new cutlery to ensure no cross contamination. All food is ordered from scratch and my breakfast was amazing. The staff here were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble - I even saw one of the staff members helping out another guest to try to close her very full bag on her shoulders! Thanks to you all - you work very hard indeed!

"Location good but nothing else"
Good location with easy access to the A34 and Oxford. Because of that easy access and the close proximity of the Tesco store and petrol station however, the room was extremely noisy with traffic all day and night, and the window wasn’t any use in insulating against the noise.
The room itself was the usual Premier Inn standard, however the bathroom was dirty with lots of black mould growing on all surfaces, even the shampoo and body wash dispensers.
We did not eat at the hotel, but went across to Tesco for breakfast, as we didn’t want to take the chance that the kitchen would be in the same state as the bathroom.
We use Premier Inn quite a bit but this is one we won’t be returning to.
