Rooms was 10/10 slept like a baby, management Stacey was great and was there if any problems had of occurred. breakfast was amazing 👏 well done definitely will be coming again

Despite the ongoing work of refurbishment the staff ensured that the high standards were maintained. The food was of the expected quality, every thing was available from the menu. Service was very good with no undue delays. The room was clean and cleaned daily. No excessive noise from the workmen. I look forward to returning when the work is done to sample the improvments planned.

The hotel is currently under renovation which is not being advertised. Half the carpark is a building site, vans are slammed and work starts early in the morning. There is also not any WiFi currently which for someone staying for work purposes was not great. This again was not advertised, and when I went to the reception to ask about the WiFi I had to wait 10 minutes to be seen before the man stated ‘oh yeah the builders have knocked the WiFi out with the work going on and until it’s complete it won’t work’ no apology. That night I attempted to shower but the bathroom had not been cleaned and I dare not attempt to clean as the walls and surfaces were slimy. There was also marks (looking like sick) in and around the toilet from previous guests. Breakfast was not worth the time or money, again waited 10 minutes to be seen in an empty restaurant. When a girl finally came she sat with her colleague near the entrance chatting for the entire time despite numerous attempts to get there attention. In terms of breakfast options half the menu was not on offer, no hot food, 2 options of hot beverages and no porridge, fruit or yoghurt options available. Needless to say I will never stay here again, and as a business will be questioning booking any premier inn rooms.

Have been staying here regularly for six years, this was the last. Hotel due to be fully renovated, be prepared for actual building knock downs, rebuilds and lots of inconvenience from rebuild noise, parking and lack of facilities. It’s already started yet no mention of this online when you book. The restaurant is closed to the public therefore only for hotel guests, lack of service, lack of fresh hot food and NO ambience as the ‘restaurant’ is also part of the changes and already partly boarded off inside. It’s certainly not worth staying here whilst all the works take place, regardless of their reassurances it’s not true. Also sooooo much noise from noisy corridor doors, no point maintaining a building being run down purposely. No prior warning the road shut also, major diversion to even access the hotel. Shame was a gem but will be staying elsewhere now,
