"Great place to stay"
Great stay, receptionists were ace and very helpful.
Would stay again.

"Went outside to cool down."
The location is great.
Next to the canal which is beautiful and was great to be able to go up and down on my mobility scooter and it's not far from the town.
First impressions hmm not great.
Front door looks like it was last given a coat in the last century.
Also when we went there is building work being completed and alot of the car park is closed of and it only had 3 disabled spots which I wasn't able to get in due to non disabled cars parking there.
It is a really very tired looking place with a small lift.
But on opening the room it was like a different place.
Fresh, clean and decent bathroom.
Big downside no air con and even husband complained how warm and stuffy it was and we went outside to cool down !
Our room was also really noisy with lots of doors banging all day and night.
Think we were above the entrance and so if given room 101 ask to move if you are a slight sleeper.

"Food service problems."
Weekend away with friend. We booked a Premier Inn as we know the standard we'd expect to receive.
Now, our actual experience this weekend: Reception staff saud hotel was full. Room was warm and comfortable as expected. The meal service was far below expectations. Breakfast first morning: no granola, no white bread, everything else was limited. Restaurant staff spent a lot of time apologising to customers. Hot food service was limited, customers had to was as food was being cooked (in small quantities), and hot food service closed an hour before it was advertised to.
Second morning: no milk, no hot food service at all, and only offering a limited continental breakfast. They did offer us a refund. However, neither of the card reader machines were working. Again, staff spent a lot of time apologising. They said they could refund to the card we had paid on, but this might take a couple of days to process.
Staff did say the restaurant had just opened days before but the lack of organisation and supplies was very disappointing.
Very disappointed with Premiere Inn on this occasion. Head office please take note.

"Like Faulty Towers"
45 minutes wait between main course and desert as the chef was struggling, only for the front of house guy to finally figure out we where still waiting to go and make the wrong item……
Made to order breakfast was the chef pre made everything - the warm bacon was as tough as shoe leather and the sausages cheap and nasty.
Comfy beds, shame about the food!

"Disappointed the room was not cleaned loxation was good and breakkfast when asked"
Alot of work going on to update the hotel
Asked twice for my room to be cleaned which was not done
Good location, but not sure i would stay here again
