Newark hotel

I wouldn’t recommend this location personally, very noisy and no air conditioning so you have to have the windows open and then you get noise pollution… Location is okay but very noisy with a 24hrs McDonalds, they had a delivery 10pm that night and it woke us and ruined our nights sleep. Atmosphere, busy food takeaways not great Rooms, although they are old they seem to be fairly well maintained, could pull them up on a few points. Value, not really because no air conditioning and older electric and decor plus charge for car park Very clean Service, the staff are lovely a special thanks to Abbey, she was very helpful and took the time to listen

Arrived tired after a long, frustrating journey in the heat. Vicki at reception was very cheery and friendly and got us checked in very quickly and even managed to get us into our room a bit early so we could cool down and freshen up. The room was very clean and well presented and the air con worked a treat. We had to go back to reception with a couple of questions later and Vicki was again able to very quickly help us fully. A really enjoyable stay and I'd certainly stay again and would recommend.

No value for money. Located conveniently close to Kelham Hall where the wedding was taking place. We had to ask for another towel as only one was provided. Room was not cleaned even asfter making a request as required by their policy, only the bed was made.

Our room remained over 30°C throughout our stay during temperatures of 30–35°C. We raised this with reception immediately after checking in and specifically asked if there were any air-conditioned rooms available but were told there were none. We were not informed that the hotel had two buildings with different facilities Staff said “None of their rooms had air con” I was travelling with my partner, and had I known there were buildings with different facilities, I would have requested an air-conditioned room. There is no indication during the booking process that some rooms have air conditioning and others do not. The extreme heat made it very difficult to sleep, and after only a few hours’ sleep I became unwell. The room had two small fans, but no complimentary bottled water or fridge to keep drinks cool. I am also disappointed that, despite raising the issue immediately and providing evidence of the room temperature, no goodwill gesture or compensation has been offered. I do not feel the experience reflected the standard I expect from Premier Inn. Won’t be returning.
