"good hotel, great staff, handy local pub"
I come down every year for trax and japfest, can't really beat this premier inn. It's a little out the way for any shops or towns but it's so easy to get to Silverstone circuit before the queues arrive.
The staff are great too - I've been checked in most times by Soxy and she always has a really friendly attitude and is very helpful with anything you need. It's a blessing after a long drive
Just wish it wasn't as expensive during show times but supply and demand I suppose

"Avoid at all costs in Warm Weather."
We stayed for one night as a family of five and this was, quite honestly, one of the worst hotel stays we’ve experienced. The room was unbearably hot, with virtually no airflow and no air conditioning. The window only opened a tiny amount, making it practically useless. All five of us had an awful night’s sleep because of the heat.
The fans provided were disgusting. They were covered in thick layers of dust in every crevice, looking as though they hadn’t been properly cleaned for months. I actually had to clean one myself just to make it usable, but there was no way to properly clean the inside. It is completely unacceptable to provide guests with fans in that condition.
We even asked for an ice bucket to try and make the room more bearable and were refused. There was also no bottled water and no fridge in the room.
The room was also far too small for a family of five, making the whole experience even more uncomfortable. To top it off, part of the fittings underneath the sink came loose and fell onto my shin.
Breakfast was okay, and Soxy on reception was genuinely helpful and friendly when we checked in. Unfortunately, that was about the only positive. When we checked out, there was nobody available to speak to, so we couldn't even properly raise our concerns.
The location is excellent for Silverstone, but that is absolutely not enough to make up for the state of the room and the conditions we had to sleep in.
If you're visiting in warm weather, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else. A hotel room this hot, with filthy fans, inadequate ventilation and no air conditioning, is simply unacceptable. We certainly wouldn't stay here again.

"Good stay"
From arrival to departure the staff we were involved with were very helpful and friendly. Soxy, I think that was her name, was welcoming and helpful and the lady in the breakfast room was a very smiley and kind welcome in the morning. The food was excellent as was the choice. The rooms are big and comfortable but some of the curtains could do with replacing.

"Disgusting rooms extremely hot"
How this hotel has 4 stars on trip advisor is beyond me. Im staying here with my mother in 2 separate rooms both our rooms are disgusting first of all our fans that are placed in the room because they have no ac are completely full of dust "human skin" the wall above the bed is full of dust and the skirting boards all rammed with dust shower heads filthy not been cleaned for ages and the drainage in the sink full of hairs luckily my uncle lives near by to grab some bleach and a hoover we both cleaned our own rooms and then went to reception to place a complaint to be told he carnt lodge a complaint or do anything because hes only there one night a week "basically not interested" and had to speak to a manager in the morning next day find out the manager no longer works here so no one to file a complaint with. 2 days later ive asked for another fan to be placed in my room as the rooms we are both staying in are over 30 degrees and its impossible to open there stupid windows further than 3 inches. Yet again they gave me a fan literally filled with dust blowing all over the bed after i spent my owntime cleaning this disgusting room. This hotel is by far the worst hotel ive stayed in for many years and I will never stay here again its that bad im really hoping the Premier inn chain goes bust you dont deserve to be in business if you think this hotel is satisfactory for just under £100 night. I carnt belive i have 2 more nights in this hotel completely ruined my familly gathering. Waste of money do not stay here even if its £50 a night unless you like getting ill or a disease. Baring in mind ive worked for 26 years in restaurants and hotels this place is unacceptable.

"No air conditioning at this hotel"
There is no air conditioning at this hotel. We stayed in summer and the room was too hot to sleep properly. We could only open the window a few inches and despite there being an air conditioning vent in the room, and control panel on the wall, it is all disconnected, and when I asked about this at reception I was told they don't have air con and the website clearly states it - but I've looked again and there is nothing obvious to me - so please be aware!
There was also no bottled drinking water provided in the room.
Location is great for Silverstone circuit obviously, but I would not stay here again

Hotel description
So close to the grid you can practically smell the rubber, Premier Inn Silverstone is perfect for any trackside event - or as a pit stop on your journey.
Live out those childhood F1 dreams, just three miles from the circuit. Slip into neutral at the stunning Whittlebury Hall - a popular wedding venue. Or bag those big brand names (at surprisingly small prices) at Bicester Shopping Village. After the chequered flag has been waved, return to the lovely restaurant just beside us and new, modern rooms with extra-comfy beds.
