Northampton West (Harpole) hotel

We asked to re locate to this hotel in Northampton West from Ashford North (which we stayed at on the way and was great) due to tunnel times being too early, we had to change and also had to pay extra for the privilege from £69 to £91 we were given our room too far from reception, we had fishing stuff in the van so couldn't leave it, so we asked for a closer room we got room 16 (lady on reception was lovely) which was straight along the corridor through a service door turn left first room brilliant, room was smaller than the family room we originally booked because of the gear, but it was fine, we managed the room was very tired looking the plastic on the desk was peeling and was sticking out but hard to touch so you could easily scratch yourself or a kid definitely could have really hurt themselves, it was on inspection shocking tiling dirty marks on painted walls, but we were too tired to bother after travelling from France since 10am that we just crashed, that is until someone walked through the service door right next to our room every 5 mins waking us up or stopping us from sleeping it banged not once but twice each time and kept us both awake on and off throughout the night so "No guaranteed good nights sleep" that they proudly shout about, so we packed up was going to tell reception but he was cleaning rooms and looked like he was rushing, so just thought do it when we get home, "BIG MISTAKE", they don't want anything to do with you or resolve it because they are available 24hrs and we didn't use it there and then if we had we would have had to move all our stuff in the middle of the night. That door shouldn't be banging all night long. So Ann from "Guest Relations Manager" was really sorry NOT but had no intention of resolving our complaint because we didn't moan in the middle of the night about the noise, this is disgusting we have used Premier Inn for every trip over the last 20yrs and this is the first time we have stayed in a bad one with all the restaurants going aswell its gonna suffer. Ann get on a new course for relations with customers as you have none.

Stayed here as great link from M1. Fantastic night sleep, no breakfast available at the moment but we were made aware of this and made provisions for this. Great location, just off the M1 which makes it a great stop over for longer journeys. Will definitely stay again

Used this hotel before for work, and I have to say; the service was as good as ever. I was informed at the time of booking there wasn’t any food available (pub was a Beefeater) but there is a surprisingly good truck stop just up the road.

We booked a couple of nights to be in a specific location to visit Althorp House. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ve have never been in a Premiere Inn with such small rooms before. It really was cramped. Having said that all the usual attributes of a Premiere Inn room were there. A big bone of contention was the absence of a restaurant or eatery of any kind. I am in discussion with the powers that be regarding this but responses have been very slow and unhelpful so far. Adding insult to injury, the large ‘pub’, now closed, next door was lit up like a Christmas tree every night. Would I stay there again, sorry no I wouldn’t.

Wasn't a great experience. Our breakfast were cancelled a couple of weeks before the trip. But was promised pastries and breakfast items would be provided at reception. There was nothing available as promised. The room was really run down and the bathroom was awful. Been painted very badly ceiling coming down, and hairs in the bath. Also the room was very hot and stuffy. Paint work was not great, lots of stains, the smallest tv with a remote that wasn't evening working.
