York South West hotel

We have just spent two lovely days in York staying at Premier Inn York South West. Upon entering the hotel we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist, who couldn’t of been more helpful, a far cry from the soulless machines we had to negotiate at our two previous stays at Dudley and Pickering. Our rooms were very clean and tidy and the restaurant, though not the largest, was perfect. Evening meals and breakfast were very tasty and perfectly cooked to order, so lovely and hot. Although everyone was friendly and helpful, I’d particularly like to thank Sue our waitress, and Katie, who went above and beyond to make the six of us feel very special . A lovely stay, with excellent staff, who made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Staff were amazing. Especially Sue in the restaurant. Care of us was personalised and kind. Room Was clean and neat. Plenty of room Shower was great and bath deep

I have stayed at many Premier Inns. This one was convenient for my Bank Holiday weekend in York and had free parking. Room was ok - clean and comfortable although it is important to say that this Premier Inn is right next to a busy dual carriageway. I find Premier Inn rooms to be really hot and stuffy if you don't open the window - so there was a lot of traffic noise. Staff were lovely and friendly.

room sticks of damp and could not sleep because of this. air conditioner was mainly cold, so we were provided with small electeric heater. No way you charge people £74 for such services.

I've reviewed a lot of Premier Inns and this was one of the best stays I've had. Friendly attentive staff on hand, allocated a quiet room that was both comfortable and clean, good free car parking facilities (please remember to put your reg in at reception) and pleasant dining area with reasonable food. There is a main road to one side of the hotel, but to be honest we didn't notice it a great deal through the night. Used the meal deal both nights/breakfasts as it was too good a deal, both evening meals and breakfasts were good (not excellent, but good for the price paid). All the staff encountered here were excellent, so well done to them. A great location if travelling by car and want to avoid the crazy parking prices in York, the park and ride is a cheaper alternative and just a short distance away.
