"Premier Inn Clifton Park Ave. York"
A very nice Premier Inn only a couple of miles outside York centre. Located just off ring road set in its own ground with seperate pub / restaurant just 50mtr away called The Doremouse. Breakfast is within the Premier Inn groundfloor. Plenty of parking but you must register your car upon booking in. Bedrooms as expected from budget hotel, our room had a better than expected bathroom. Stayed Friday night and Saturday night, the cost for Saturday night was twice the cost for Friday night for the same room this I thought was excesive. The room was clean and fresh. No noise level from adjoining rooms. Check-in staff were helpful and efficient, So were breakfast staff. Plenty of extra tea coffee and milk available at reception. Telephone in reception area to arrainge Taxi if needed, cost around £8 one way into York centre. Car parking in York is expensive. £18:50 for 4 hours Marygate car park.

"Lovely few days away"
We wanted to visit York, but save pennies for all the sights, so we booked this Premier Inn a little out from the centre. We stayed in a Premier Plus room, which was immaculate (but a tad smaller than other Premier Plus rooms we’ve had elsewhere - not a complaint, just something we noticed). We booked breakfast for both mornings and the food was the best quality we’ve had at any Premier Inn we’ve visited - it’s all cooked to order, but everything was perfectly cooked and we didn’t have long to wait.
The hotel itself was quiet for our whole stay - it is set in a lovely area with easy access to the centre via bus or a 30 minute walk along a mostly flat road. There is lots of wildlife in the area - while walking the public footpath nearby we spotted a fox and we heard other guests had seen deer.
The best part of our visit was Alberto - when we arrived we realised we had forgotten some items and he very kindly sourced us them for the entirety of our stay which was above and beyond what we expected.
Lovely hotel and stay, well worth the money and we’ll no doubt be back again soon.

"Modern, lovely area but thin walls and pillows"
Clean, new hotel.
Bathroom was mostly clean - odd hairs about and plug hole area need a scrub. Shower was lovely and showergel provided.
Door wall thin - be prepared to hear everything in the hall.
Bed was soft, but pillows might has well have been non existent they were so flat.
Great parking and polite staff in a lovely area.
Perfect location if travelling by car. Bus stop only 2 min walk away for 10 min ride into center of town.

"Don't bother with the Premier Plus upgrade."
Positives: good location; nice breakfast; friendly staff.
Negatives: the upgraded room wasn't worth the money. The room didn't look thoroughly cleaned; premium features such as the coffee machine, fridge, shower, and WiFi didn't work properly; the hairdryer broke after a minute of usage and a spare couldn't be sourced; items that were available in other rooms weren't included in the upgraded room such as fans.

"Lovely 4 day break"
We have just returned from a lovely 4 day break in York. Hotel is very modern and clean having recently had a refurbishment. Staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Alberto who had arranged for a small bottle of prosecco and chocolates for our room on arrival as we were celebrating my special birthday. A very nice touch.
Breakfast each morning was excellent and cooked fresh to order. All the staff very friendly each morning.
Hotel is in an excellent location for exploring York and the surrounding area. Free car parking and we used the bus into town centre which was every 11 mins and bus stop located just across the road.
The Dormouse pub located next door is ideal for meals and drinks during the day and evening though would advise booking especially weekends.
All in all we had a lovely break and will certainly return soon.
