"Small family room"
Stayed over the weekend, booked a family room, room wasn’t up to the usual standard space wise, it was quite small and difficult to move around together. Strange location for the tv, rather than at the end of the double bed, it was to the side meaning you had to strain your head to watch it, couple with the unresponsive remote, poor sound and the inability to play a connected hard drive made for a poor relaxing experience.
Staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful, had breakfast one day, plentiful and cooked fresh (although poached eggs weren’t runny)
Paid for ultimate WiFi, but it wasn’t up to scratch, constantly unstable
Good location, bus stop across the road to catch the park and ride

"Not the best !!"
We arrived an hour early for our2 night stay, the male on reception was off hand and more interested in talking to another male who was actually sat on the reception desk.
We were told we couldn’t check in early unless we paid an extra £15 - didn’t bother as there is a very nice pub next door so we went there instead.
When we did check in, the room was ok - standard Premier Inn but there was no iron and no phone to contact reception.
The TV is in a strange place - not positioned in front of the bed where it could easily be but to the side near the window !
The bed was clean and comfy and all the staff after the initial guy were really nice and friendly, we slept well both nights.
The plug hole in the sink had brown residue round it and needed a good scrub.
The breakfast was truly disgusting - my sister and myself had the continental breakfast and it was shocking, green bananas and mottled oranges the fresh fruit salad in the coolers was disgusting all brown and nasty and the yoghurts that were in big containers - well we didn’t bother to be honest !
Orange juice had run out - so we had tepid juice.
Husband and brother in law had the cooked breakfast, they said it wasn’t good, no hash brown on it either and they left theirs as well which is unusual because they will eat most things.
Poor show Premier Inn - won’t be doing it again !!

"In need of Refurb."
Premier Plus room was tired. Bathroom was dirty, fan didn’t work due to being blocked with dirt/lint, skirtings dirty, shower screen with scum under trim, no toilet roll but paper towels. Vent in room dirty, carpet disgustingly dirty so don’t walk around in bare feet. On the positive side of things the staff are excellent and professional.

"Premier Inn Clifton Park Ave. York"
A very nice Premier Inn only a couple of miles outside York centre. Located just off ring road set in its own ground with seperate pub / restaurant just 50mtr away called The Doremouse. Breakfast is within the Premier Inn groundfloor. Plenty of parking but you must register your car upon booking in. Bedrooms as expected from budget hotel, our room had a better than expected bathroom. Stayed Friday night and Saturday night, the cost for Saturday night was twice the cost for Friday night for the same room this I thought was excesive. The room was clean and fresh. No noise level from adjoining rooms. Check-in staff were helpful and efficient, So were breakfast staff. Plenty of extra tea coffee and milk available at reception. Telephone in reception area to arrainge Taxi if needed, cost around £8 one way into York centre. Car parking in York is expensive. £18:50 for 4 hours Marygate car park.

"Lovely few days away"
We wanted to visit York, but save pennies for all the sights, so we booked this Premier Inn a little out from the centre. We stayed in a Premier Plus room, which was immaculate (but a tad smaller than other Premier Plus rooms we’ve had elsewhere - not a complaint, just something we noticed). We booked breakfast for both mornings and the food was the best quality we’ve had at any Premier Inn we’ve visited - it’s all cooked to order, but everything was perfectly cooked and we didn’t have long to wait.
The hotel itself was quiet for our whole stay - it is set in a lovely area with easy access to the centre via bus or a 30 minute walk along a mostly flat road. There is lots of wildlife in the area - while walking the public footpath nearby we spotted a fox and we heard other guests had seen deer.
The best part of our visit was Alberto - when we arrived we realised we had forgotten some items and he very kindly sourced us them for the entirety of our stay which was above and beyond what we expected.
Lovely hotel and stay, well worth the money and we’ll no doubt be back again soon.
