"Restaurant check-in needs staff!"
Pretty standard PI and what you'd expect for the price.
But please, PLEASE can you get a bell or something for the dining room seating station? First evening I went to be seated for dinner and was stood around for about ten minutes with no staff around.
I had to go and ask some poor lady in another part of the hotel for assistance, who went to see where everyone was, and was then told to deal with me. She did great, but it's not fair on her and not a great experience for your guests.
Similar thing happened during breakfast; myself and a couple of other guests were stood around until a kitchen staff member happened to spot us and then went looking for someone.

Lift broken. Room down graded to standard as I couldnt manage stairs to the 3rd floor. No discount or complementary WiFi/breakfast offered. Asked for ultimate WiFi on arrival, can’t log into it. Air con doesn’t work. LOUD air con units outside the bedroom window so can’t leave it open. One tea bag to last 2 days. Grubby cups. The list is endless……

"Fantastic place to stay"
Just back from a weeks holiday to York. This Premier Inn is within easy walking distance of the train station 5min and a 15min walk to town centre. Room was good size and clean on arrival, not much storage but enough to get buy with. We had an evening meal on night and I honestly have to say I take my hat off to the staff working in the dining area and the folk in the kitchen. The girls working that night were polite and friendly. The food was amazing, I had fish and chips and it was one of the best I've had. I'd definitely recommend staying here while you're visiting York

"Fraudulent dishonest company."
Total disgrace!!!!
No working lifts and had been out of order for over a month.
Booking had been made less than a week before arrival yet we weren't informed.
2 out the 4 of booking party have mobility problems and an elderly couple had paid for premier plus on the 3rd floor, who had a walking stick and was in tears.
Early check in was paid for yet unavailable.
Staff acted like we were.the inconvenience.
Promised a refund and free breakfast. Total lies.
Customer Service is disgusting.
Room was cold. Heating is monitored i the office and they decide if it goes on!!!.
Never use a premier inn again.

Me,my husband daughter and granddaughter stayed here for 2 nights 7th-9th April 2026. We paid extra for early check in at 11.00 am only to find one room wasn't ready. They agreed to refund the early check in fee. Then we saw a notice on the desk saying the lifts were out of order. As we were on 2nd floor we thought 2 flights of stairs maximum. Unfortunately there were 5 flights of stairs. As we all have different disabilities this was very inconvenient. My point is we were not notified when we booked that the lifts had not been working for a month. If we'd known we wouldn't have stayed there. So as we'd paid for 3 breakfasts they agreed a refund on those as an apology. We were told the refunds were on the system ready to send. A week later, many phone calls speaking to 4 different people im still waiting. Each person has fobbed me off and the last one told a downright lie saying he'd just received the ok to send refund. The money is not the issue so much as the principle. No emails received which were promised, no help from anyone just lies. Plus the rooms were really cold. Disgraceful behaviour by such a big company.
