"Air conditioning not working - hot scruffy room"
We’ve stayed here and Blossom Street South several times but we won’t be back! The room was hot - the air conditioning didn’t work - and scruffy, with sloppy housekeeping with no tea/coffee provided. The thing is, Premier inn used to be really good value - but not any more. It’s a basic 2* budget hotel at a not reasonable price!
"Great location, quiet and comfortable"
Very comfortable and the staff very helpful, the only issue was the poor cleaning standard of the corridors, which were unhoovered for our stay and had numerous crumbs etc
"Very disappointing"
We stayed overnight 13.7.25 and were very disappointed. The room was tired and uncomfortable, the bathroom was worse with spongy floors and old flooring and woodwork that made it look in dire need of renovating. I did not have a good night's sleep and did not enjoy our stay. This morning 14.7.25 we had a 15 minute wait for bacon and sausage, longer for bread and butter and 40 minutes for hot water for tea. No apology, maybe you need a sign to say not fast but fresh. We will never return or recommend and to be honest this stay has put us off the Premier Inn chain as we feel we were dumped in a sub standard room.
"Tired and unappealing"
Stayed Friday 11th July. Allocated the Viking building which has no air con so it was stifling hot. We were on top floor so could feel temp change as we went up. Also no lifts so quite a work out. Window hardly opens so could get no air flow , asked to be moved told not possible by very unfriendly receptionist.Hardly slept left feeling knackered. Did have a fan but totally inadequate Breakfast buffet not large enough to cater for numbers at hotel. Ran out often so queues formed. One coffee machine one toaster . Whole place needs a refresh. Will not return
"Great location"
Great location Didn't eat as last time food was awful. We unfortunately had some very noisy people about who were very inconsiderate. Sounded like they were odd nail boots at early hours of morning. Plenty of tea facilities available. Staff not the friendliest welcome not like previous visits. Near station and opposite wratherspoons
