York City (Blossom St North) hotel

Overall, it was a good budget hotel experience. Easy and convenient location, easy to self-check in too. The room was mostly clean, just a few little things like cobwebs on the ceiling, and the bathroom smelled strongly of smoke whenever you let the fan switch on with the light being on. We also booked a twin room, so it would've been nice if they had split the beds in two, which they didn't.

Stayed here in one of the Annexes, the room was clean although there was a sweaty feet smell when we first arrived, a quick spray did the trick. I don't understand why they only have one chair in the rooms, we are a couple of pensioners so it makes it akward, asked the lad at reception for an extra chair, abruptly told we dont have any, great customer service. The hotel was in a great location for everthing we needed.

Very handy for York city centre and railway station. Comfortable clean room, although on a road no noise disturbance. Reasonably priced

At check-in I was handed a key for a room already occupied by other guests. As I was travelling with a friend who had checked in earlier, I wasn't immediately suspicious to find luggage already there. I went to sleep. I was woken in the night by the room's actual occupants. The confrontation that followed was frightening. Being woken in an unfamiliar room, in the dark, in a situation that was not of my making — I was shaken for the rest of the night and did not sleep at all. I dread to think how differently it could have gone. When I went to the front desk, the response made things worse. The staff member misspelled my name, failed to find my booking, and essentially accused me of having broken into a stranger's room. Rather than take any ownership, she deflected blame onto a named colleague who had worked the earlier shift. I have since invoked the Good Night Guarantee and submitted a formal complaint. I'd strongly encourage Premier Inn to review how it's possible for two paying guests to be issued keys to the same room — because the consequences of that failure could have been far more serious than they were in my case.

A great location just a short walk away from York railway station. The check-in and out staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to store our bag both before checking in and after checkout out allowing us to explore the city unencumbered. The room was very spacious with a roomy bathroom where basic soap and body/hair wash products. A great base from which to explore the city.
