"Dirty breakfast bowls"
Staff were friendly, and there was plenty of parking. However, you must remember to register your vehicle’s licence plate number using the touch screen just inside the main entrance.
What was extremely disappointing was the breakfast. The cereal bowls were dirty and had clearly not been washed properly, with remnants of old cereal still inside them. We had to go through six or seven bowls before finding a clean one.
The breakfast selection was also not as good as the Holiday Inn we had previously stayed at in Kent. The cooked breakfast — beans, mushrooms, hash browns, eggs, and bacon — was lukewarm and lacking in flavour. I also overheard one member of staff reminding another, in the area behind where the cooked breakfast is laid out, that they needed to wash their hands. Surely this should be a basic part of food hygiene and preparation standards, rather than something staff need to be reminded about.
The room itself was clean, but there was a noticeable musty smell inside.

"Appalling stay"
Fully automated vending machine.
No actual bar. Everything out of cans or bottles served by two restaurant staff. Evening meal was disgusting. Greasy spoon cafe. Breakfast was a little better but not much. Would never stay here again and then to put the icing on the cake we today received a parking fine even though we checked in our car at the same time as checking in. Mmm, free parking if you are a resident. Dont believe this so BEWARE as Horizon Parking will soon be after you for money

"Clean hotel"
Nice clean modern hotel on outskirts of Thirsk. Standard room with all facilities you need and quiet stay. Aldi just across the road for snacks etc, drive into town centre 5 minutes. Very large free car park, tip to park at rear of hotel, you get closer to reception, but have to walk on grass for 20 yards. Got a good rate on a Friday night.

"Not out favourite Premier Inn."
The biggest downer was the price if drinks in the restaurant. £5.10 for a small beer which equated to £10.20 a pint was well over priced. The lack of reception staff on arrival just an automated check in in most cases did not give you a welcoming experience. Most of the items in the cooked breakfast were either just warm or cold. To be told that there could be a 20 minute wait for our order to be taken in a virtually empty restaurant as they were busy that night was confusing. The hotel itself was in a nice location, was quiet through the night and was very clean and tidy. There is a pub and supermarket in walking distance.

"Ok but could be better"
Stayed for 5 nights to visit the area which is lovely. Unfortunately had issues with the room. No cold water in the bathroom just very hot no matter which way you turned the tap. Went to Reception who said it was due to lots of guests having showers and gave us some bottles of water. Next day same issue so reported it again. When we came back in the afternoon there was a note to say it seemed ok. It wasn't. They arranged for someone to look into it but had to wait as not urgent! It was then apparently fixed but then only cold water no hot. They offered to move rooms but no other premier plus rooms available and no offer to refund the extra cost, as we only had 1 night left it wasn't worth moving. Only had one evening meal in the restaurant which was good. We were comped a breakfast which wasn't particularly good. The hot food had obviously been out for a while as all looked dried up and unappetising and only 1 slice of bread for toast and a lonely crumpet. The room was always very warm and the Aircon only worked intermittently but there was a fan. Having stayed here before a few years ago it was disappointing that time it wasn't as good. The staff were all friendly.
