"Relaxed"
It was fine, BUT having stopped at quite a few Premier Inns over the year this is one of the less ‘flashy ones’?
Nothing inherently wrong with the hotel, the restaurant doesn’t look particularly inviting, clean, functional but definitely not somewhere you’d go for anything ‘Romantic’ or for atmosphere, that said as a base for heading out for the day and somewhere to put your head it’s fine.
We were in a family room, (even though there was only the two of us) don’t think I booked a family room intentionally, it was ok, amenities, like everywhere now are ‘bare bones’ a few coffee/Tea sachets, milk and sugar, the cups were clear glass and showed up streaks and fingerprints from being washed.
Unusually for our room the beds, whilst being fine (although I do wish during summer months they put lighter duvets on) they weren’t finished off with the usual purple Premier Inn runner?
One hand towel although I’m sure we could easily have asked for more if needed.
All in all it suited our needs we just felt that despite the cleanliness the overall feel was it wasn’t as nice as a lot of others we’ve stopped at that have felt more ‘High end’ the young guy who checked us in was excellent and a credit to Premier Inn.
Would I recommend, yes of course I would.

"Another excellent stay"
Just returned from a very pleasant 4 night stay at Thirsk. My husband and I had a Premier Plus room which was lovely and my sister had a Premier Plus accessible room on the ground floor which she was very pleased with.
We had the meal deal which included breakfast and dinner which was very good value. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the food we had was very good.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Must give a special mention to Jameson who was so efficient, friendly and very helpful with our shellfish allergy. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe. Another member of staff, Chris, also deserves a mention for his very enthusiastic friendly
and efficient manner. This is our second stay at this Premier Inn and we will certainly return.

"Lovely nights stay"
Great location, just a 25 minute flat walk into Thirsk. The room was lovely and I did like the low lighting in the bathroom. The only issue for me was the lack of tumblers in the bathroom which I've not known before with Premier. Luckily, on this occasion I'd brought my own tumblers with me. As previously said the room was a bit warm but I'd rather be too hot than too cold! We will definitely return next time we go to Thirsk.

"Lovely Premier inn"
Nice...seems...New premier Inn.
Very modern room, lovely bathroom with ambient lights if preferred! Nice location to walk into Thirsk or to drive to all areas. Definitely recommend!

"Dirty breakfast bowls"
Staff were friendly, and there was plenty of parking. However, you must remember to register your vehicle’s licence plate number using the touch screen just inside the main entrance.
What was extremely disappointing was the breakfast. The cereal bowls were dirty and had clearly not been washed properly, with remnants of old cereal still inside them. We had to go through six or seven bowls before finding a clean one.
The breakfast selection was also not as good as the Holiday Inn we had previously stayed at in Kent. The cooked breakfast — beans, mushrooms, hash browns, eggs, and bacon — was lukewarm and lacking in flavour. I also overheard one member of staff reminding another, in the area behind where the cooked breakfast is laid out, that they needed to wash their hands. Surely this should be a basic part of food hygiene and preparation standards, rather than something staff need to be reminded about.
The room itself was clean, but there was a noticeable musty smell inside.
