"Family holiday"
Professional and friendly service, clean rooms, perfect for a vacation, close to the beach, and delicious food. I will definitely return. Highly recommended.
"Nice hotel in great location"
Checked in over the weekend, on August 10. Location - can't be beat. Ladies in front - very friendly. Rooms - nothing to brag home about, but you are not staying in Ritz Carlton... It is very comfortable, it is clean, standup showers, all amenities there. So, no complaints at all. The only watchout - servicing your room... Make sure you say EVERY LITTLE DETAIL that you want to be done. If you say Clean my bed, they will NOT change towles, or put water in the fridge. If you say change towels - they will not touch the bedding :) So, just say everything that you want to be done, or changed... Otherwise, a good place. I know I WILL stay here again, next time I am in town.
"Appalling check-in: 30 guests waiting while one receptionist struggled to cope…two automatic checkins out of order"
Checking in at 3pm on a Saturday was chaos. A queue of almost 30 guests snaked out of the door, 2 out of 3 automatic check-in stands out of order, one (very patient) member of staff on duty who also had to run to left luggage and back. The one remaining check-in stand sometimes worked, but often didn’t, seeing other guests’ frustrating experiences. How can Premier Inn have one hard-working staff member on duty when the York train drops guests at 3pm Saturday? Come on! Room very comfortable, good size, clean and well equipped…but don’t expect a view!
"Family rooms located above noisy nightclub/bar"
Our family room was located just above a bar so incredibly noisy until around midnight - thumping music, screaming and shouting. The room was also super hot with ineffective air con. We got very little sleep so not a great experience. The reception staff were apologetic pointing out that the hotel is awaiting new ‘sound proof’ windows, but as yet these had not materialised so noise was a common problem.
"Nice chain hotel visit"
Hotel as you’d expect for a premier inn. Well presented reception/common area and staff very friendly and helpful when doing self check in. The hotel is cavernous with the reception on one street and it stretches far far back so be prepared for a bit of a walk to find your room if you’re situated further back. Room itself was clean, functional and enough room for a family of four for a night or two. Breakfast was your normal premier inn buffet, some things were hotter than others but perfectly edible and sets you up nicely for the day. Sleep wasn’t disturbed despite being in centre of town and noise in actual hotel was none existent I think due to its sheer size. A good option for a weekend away
