Harrogate South hotel

So I have a business account with Premier Inn and this is my 37th stay this year. The service at this Premier Inn is disgraceful especially in the social they obviously need more staff in the kitchen how does it take and hour and a half to do a pizza I could have driven to the local Pizza Express ordered and been back at the hotel in the amount of time it took them to cook some cardboard.

This is the first time that we have had any issues with Premier Inn over many years but it really was bad. Our Premier Plus room smelt of damp, the shower tray was mouldy and had come away from the wall and the floor had rotted and was soggy underneath the vinyl covering. The duvet cover had 2 large rips, no pillow cases on spare pillows, carpet had an unpleasant stain on it. We reported these issues to reception in the morning but nothing had been rectified when we returned later in the day. We found someone who then moved us to a different room which was better but left us rushing to get ready to get to our table in Harrogate that evening. I contacted customer services who said they would investigate and get back to me - guess what- they didn't. I contacted them again and they offered me approx half of the cost of the 1st night under their 'Good night guarantee' scheme. All in all very poor. Shame as it is in convenient location. Don't even consider the breakfast as it was very poor and not the same price as the menus in the rooms! Come on Premier Inn get this dump sorted out and up to the standard that we expect. I

Had to wait several minutes for a staff member to actually arrive at reception to book us in to begin with. First impression was the whole building looked tired and probably needed updated and a deep clean. The moment you stepped out of the lift a heat hit you and continued into our room, it felt stuffy and uncomfortable with no air conditioning either. The following morning we so looked forward to our breakfast of a full English only to discover there were no sausages or bacon left, it wasn't busy either and weren't late, other people had the same experience too. No explanation from staff. We could cope with the building work. Some staff were helpful. But on leaving and dropping our card off the person on the desk seemed disinterested and didn't even as if we'd have a nice visit. No really the standard we've come to except from you.

The staff were amazing and Natalie helped me when I needed her too and was very knowledgeable about the hotel and surrounding areas

Great location next to the train station; the staff were amazing and very helpful and accommodating. Shame about the building works, but looking forward to returning when it is all complete; clean rooms and good value for money.
