"Lovely place bad bed"
Really good location next to a train station.

Was a bit dubious after reading some of the previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Booked a premier plus room and it was spacious, quiet and clean. Comes with a mini fridge and complimentary water, mini chocolate bars and pod coffee machine and there was a fan in the room. Located right next to a station so you can catch a train into Harrogate or it's a pleasant 30 minute walk through residential areas and a park. Lots of building work going as they refurb the hotel but only used the hotel as a base so had no impact on our stay. Plenty of free parking. Nice Italian restaurant right next door. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Booked a ground floor excessable room for my mum who has mobility problems
Room was a good size and the bathroom was perfect
Only downside was the tv which did not work

Definitely not up to Premier Inn standards. Bathroom bin had not been emptied. Bath plug hole missing so Husband could not have a bath. We had to ask for some toilet roll as this was empty. Basic checks had evidently not been completed

My wife and I have stayed in this Premier Inn on a couple of times in recent years and have always enjoyed our stays there, but this time in was awful. We were told after booking that there was building work going on, but we couldn't see what work had been carried out as the building looked run down and very tired. The attached pub we always used on previous visits has closed and a small in-house restaurant put in place which is absolutely awful. The breakfast during our stay would be comical if we hadn't paid for it as so many items were not available, not even butter for the few bits of toast we did find. On a better note our room was very good and thankfully air conditioned. The staff are overworked and trying their hardest, we felt Premier Inns are not Premier anymore if this is what's happening to their hotels. The photos of this hotel on their website are very misleading so be warned.
