"Nice hotel, avoid the restaurant"
Arrival
There is a large free car park right next to the hotel. The receptionist found our booking but couldn’t find our paperwork, possibly because, she said, I had checked in online (as requested). Then she asked various questions such as our nationality that I had already answered during the online check in.
The Room
We had a Premier Plus room and it one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. The room is spacious and well equipped. It has a table and two comfortable chairs. The air conditioning was a treat on a hot day. The outlets either side of the bed have USB, and USB C sockets, this is the first time I have seen USB C sockets like this.
The Restaurant.
Oh dear. The server wanted to sit us near to a large noisy group. We said we would like to sit somewhere else and went as far away from them as possible. The issue with sound soon became apparent, the restaurant is a rectangular box with a hard wood effect floor, and hard walls and ceiling. It has recently been refurbished but apparently no though was given to acoustics. Sound echoes around the room and you can hear stuff from the other end of the room. This ruins the atmosphere and urgently needs sorting out. A carpet floor covering and some soft furnishings would certainly help.
Some of the staff are new and inexperienced. Simply questions about the menu result in them having to go and ask someone else. We both had burgers which were sort of okay but came with a fairly small portion of fries. There was no question about would you like any extra sauces, and it took some time to get some mayonnaise.
We were on the meal deal. For our dessert we wanted a Sundae (sold out) or cheesecake (sold out) so settled for pancakes.
We were near the serving hatch and food sat there waiting to be taken out for long periods of time.
The manager for this area needs to get a grip.
The restaurant was quieter at breakfast but sounds still goes all around the room. The ‘hot’ breakfast items were served buffet style and kept under heat lamps, but the food was only lukewarm. I really don’t know why it is so difficult to keep food hot.
In summary, nice hotel, very nice room, ample free parking but avoid the restaurant.

"Great location shocking price."
This PI is very well situated for working in and around the garrisons however they know they have the monopoly and charge exorbitant rates. I could not fault the cleanliness of the room or the quality of the food but I would definately suggest that the orice was 50% to high.

"Premier Inn, it does what it says on the Tin"
Premier Inn is always great. Rooms are clean and comfortable and it is great value for money. I always know that I am going to get the same thing, and it makes my stay so much more relaxing after a long journey. The hotel sites are never very picturesque, but frankly, if I am travelling through, that doesn't bother me. Thank you Premier Inn.

"Waste coming up through the shower drain"
When I flushed the toilet I was horrified and shocked to find the waste coming up the shower drain ! I informed reception whose answer was to use the toilet in the reception area of which there was one ! They had no alternative rooms without packing everything up and moving floors and as we were in a large party and we were due to leave after breakfast we didn’t do this. Their customer service were extremely unhelpful and basically said tough !! Not what you would expect from a large chain hotel

"Old codgers on a sight seeing trip."
Staff excellent (very helpful and very cheerful) - the rooms are clean and big enough. The breakfasts set us up for the day. Sometimes we had a full English, sometimes we didn't. It was good to have the choice. Though the hotel is situated by a busy road and shares a car park with a retail park, we were not disturbed by noise. The car park is free. we had no problem parking near to the hotel.
