"2 night midweek stay"
Location ideal.
We booked the plus room but the atmosphere was lovely but unable to open the bedroom window and the bathroom being small was a downside. The only thing we were glad of was the air-conditioning and fridge that was in the room and supposedly not in a standard room as the uk was in a heatwave. The atmosphere of the hotel was somewhat ok, alot of the staff appeared robotic and there to get the shift done and be gone kind of vibe. The cleanliness of the hotel and room was fine. Our room and the noise level from other rooms was no cause of concern. The value of the price appeared expensive to what you got. We had the meal deal included in our preimer plus room and unfortunately after the first night meal we did not return and use our deal for the remaining night. The food was luke warm & not that nice. The staff answers tables only if you make a scene and flag them down, majority of the staff appears to be of college age and appeared uninterested in the role. We had to wave down a young man multiple times when we finished our food, needed cutlery or drinks. There was a bald headed man with glasses in ordinary clothes that sat us down and he was not friendly, gave an impression of managerial role but unfortunately was not approachable and is part of the reason why we did not return. We entered the bar area and awaited to be seated where we were shouted at from the bar to wait by the laptop, as we're either residents so we gathered together at a laptop awaiting to be seated. Upon checking in to the hotel we were met by a receptionist named jules who is a real asset to the place, very friendly and professional and very informative. She was helping the kitchen with serving food as well at one stage. We didn't see her again on our other days which was sad as we went to reception to complain about the meal and we were told "I don't blame you" from the night receptionist. The waiter failed to ask if everything was OK. I wouldn't return unless there wasn't anywhere else to go as we were unhappy with what we paid for two nights almost 230 pounds.

"Nice room with extras but bed too small"
We stayed for two nights in a Premier Plus room while visiting the area. The room itself was clean, warm and comfortable with nice little extras like coffee machine and fridge, but the most essential item, the bed, was only a standard double, even though the room was very spacious! Every Premier Inn we have ever stayed in has had a king size bed so we never thought to check, especially as it was sold as a Premier Plus. My husband at 6' 5" took nearly the entire bed, in addition the mattress was very firm which we both found uncomfortable.
I don't recommend it if you are tall.

"claustrophobia instead of comfort"
Having booked a premier plus room we expected at least to be able to open a window to obtain some fresh air. Unfortunately it seems to be company policy of having all rooms hermetically sealed with no openable windows and the air conditioning pre-set at a minimum of 19.5 centigrade. As a result we were unable to get much sleep as the room was stuffy and far too warm for our comfort.
