Unhelpful reception Waited so long for restaurant service had to get a refund which I'm still waiting for.deadful humming noise all night in room Don't go

Having booked a premier plus room we expected at least to be able to open a window to obtain some fresh air. Unfortunately it seems to be company policy of having all rooms hermetically sealed with no openable windows and the air conditioning pre-set at a minimum of 19.5 centigrade. As a result we were unable to get much sleep as the room was stuffy and far too warm for our comfort.

Receptionist was amazing when we checked in on 3rd April. Going out if her way to help people. Food very tasty at dinner and breakfast. It just took a while to get our food at dinner.

Stayed here for business and prefer it to the Premier Inn at Bury St Edmonds. Car park is bigger, less vans, trucks and large vehicles, windows open and staff more obliging. Thetford Premier Inn has its own restaurant, food is reasonable, I had chicken tikka pizza which was very dry and a small portion of meat. What spoiled it was crumbled popadom over the pizza and soggy onions which I promptly removed. Fish and chips (haddock) was very nice and so was the big cowboy burger and chips. Breakfast was returned as I couldn't cut the bacon very dry and hard and my poached eggs were also very hard. Breakfast was nice second time around. I only tipped one young lady who worked at the restaurant as she worked very hard and was the only waitress who appeared to like her job and actually smiled all the time. The rest of the staff, never smiled and were almost robotic carrying out their roles. One guy who worked in the restaurant told me I couldn't order food until 5 pm yet restaurant doesn't close in the daytime? Before I close my review, I want to give a big shout out to "Jules" who works on Hotel Reception - what a lovely, friendly, professional, approachable lady who went above and beyond with a couple of problems I had whilst I stayed there. It was nice to meet you Jules and hope to see you again - Premier Inn need more people like you, your people skills are outstanding!

Premier inn usually pretty good, this time not so great. Room ventilation had a very annoying whine whurrrr that changed pitch and never switched off making it kinda hard to sleep. Informed staff, couldntwouldnt move us and advised nothing they could do so try sticking tissues in ears.. right, thanks, thats useless. Informed new staff in morning who noted down but still nothing done for 2nd night
