"Amazing stay made by caring staff."
Great pleace to have a good night ;) with a reasonable budget. But what elevates this to another level is an amazing staff. They will really make you feel welcome and will cater to all your needs. Excellent stay, I cannot recommend it more!!!

Best night sleep in a long time. Clean crisp sheets. Pillows fluffy (will be buying) Firm matress Room and bathroom clean Better than alot of good hotels I have stayed in. Lovely restaurant on site had a great breakfast and dinner. Would recomend.

Receptionist very rude and unhelpful.Was made feel that I was lying about the room not being clean and prepared, bed unmade room not clean. Although we have made more reservations at other Premier Inns, I m not sure about honouring them. A very poor experience.

Looking at the vehicles in the car park many guests were staying for the same reason. This Premier Inn is 5 miles from Centre Parcs, Elvedon Forest, just off the A11, and was excellent. A lively and very warm, helpful receptionist greeted us and booked us in for breakfast. She went out of her way to offer advice and it was a very positive start. Our rooms (1 double and 1 family) were standard PI rooms ~ comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and all you need for an overnight stay. There was plenty of space in the car park, even though the hotel was busy. My only criticism, as it is in all PIs, is that the overhead showers are fixed and there are no shower caps. I wish you could buy caps at reception or PI had a vending machine for forgotten toiletries. Breakfast was very good and our two young grandchildren loved the cooked offerings and especially the pancakes and Nutella! Plenty of choice and very helpful staff. The bar was comfortable and on the night we were there (Easter Sunday) it was empty by about 9pm. I was able to curl up on a settee in the snug, with a book and a drink, and relax. I am very happy to recommend this hotel. We had a room overlooking the car park, which was very quiet; we were able to sleep with the windows open, so lack of air con wasn't an issue. We will definitely return on our next visit to Elvedon.

Hotel description

A small market town on the A11, Thetford is very handy for Norwich and the East, and Premier Inn Hotel Thetford puts everything in easy reach. From Norman castles to Newmarket Racecourse, there's plenty to see nearby, and some key business venues too. The outdoor scenes for Dad's Army were filmed in Thetford, and the Dad's Army Museum is well worth a visit while you're here. Or if you want to see a chart-topper, there are some great gigs at High Lodge Forest nearby. After a fabulous day out, come back to the hotel for lovely food at our restaurant and a great night's sleep in a comfy bed.
