"Average stay"
Whilst the room was clean it was also spacious but looked empty as only had 1 chair in it. Bathroom was very outdated. Walking to reception the hotel looks very run down, but it is in walking distance to riverside bars and shops.
"Shabby and tired"
This is a very tired, shabby Premier Inn. The windows are filthy, and your feet stick to the floor in the restaurant. The tables in the restaurant need replacing as they are old, tatty and sctatched up.The whole place gives you a feel of uncleanliness. The whole place needs a good clean, paint and new flooring. It's central for exploring Norwich, however it is on a very dirty, seedy road with boarded up buildings etc. I personally wouldn't recommend as this is one of the worst Premier inn s we've stayed at
"A good night's sleep"
The room delivered on my expectations, clean and comfortable and quiet. The price was reasonable and location convenient for the station and the visits I was making. Unfortunately the outside is fairly shabby. At street level there's a building with boarded up windows ..not sure if this is part of the hotel but if so maybe it can be developed to create a better pedestrian entrance. Current pedestrian entrance is not welcoming ..the choice is down some concrete steps and through the restaurant and corridors to reach reception. Alternative is via a scruffy alley into the carpark (weeds, graffiti and a pile of poo ..not a lovely experience at all). I suppose most guests arrive by car (even the restaurant asks for car registration) and they haven't prioritised the entrance for guests on foot.
"No Guarantee Room Will be Cleaned"
Stayed three nights - August 2025 Hotel requires external repair - signage missing Premier Plus room - 207 - overlooking river Room generally good - bed good - other furnishings a bit tired Good tea/coffee making facilities Fridge not cold enough - unable to adjust AC noisy Shower on/off switch not working correctly 1500 check-in strictly regulated - queue forms at this time Did not eat at hotel - cannot comment DAILY CLEANING - You have to ask to have the room cleaned each day After the first night the receptionist told me that there was a shortage of staff and it may not be possible She used the phrase "since Covid times" I fail to understand what an incident from five years ago has to do with room cleaning CAR PARK £10 per day for guests is a rip off
"Perfect location for our needs"
Sensible price for a one night stay in a good location for our plans. Personally I'd like to see a tidy up in the car park with some vegetation removal and tidying because that's where the impression starts. The bar and restaurant was competitively priced with a good selection. Room, clean and tidy with everything needed for our stay, I would stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend
