Norwich City Centre (Duke Street) hotel

We have just stayed at this hotel for 4 nights - a party of 4, 2 of who have mobility difficulties. The hotel is in a fantastic position in terms of accessing the city and is easy walking distance to the city shops, bars and of course the cathedral. The absolute best thing about the hotel is the staff who were all fantastic. Special thanks go to Peter and Bethany on reception who went above and beyond to sort a room change for my elderly mother. Throughout the whole of our stay they were helpful, friendly and very proactive in terms of accommodating my mum and sister. The food was also fabulous thanks to Ryan the chef who prepared some delicious meals for us. I would 100% recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Norwich. Thank you so much to all the team for making our stay perfect.

Just got back from an excellent stay at this Premier inn. Check in was seamless and was made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, well presented and the evening meal was excellent. Special shout out to the pizza. It was wonderful. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were professional, friendly and genuinely cared about your stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed one night in a standard room and it was horrendous. The room itself seemed old and tired. The windows only opened a crack. It was in May on one of the hottest days of the year and the heat was unbearable. My room was hotter than the 35C outside! It was like a sauna. I could not bear to be in the room and only went in it at night time. I slept with the window open all night on top of the duvet. By morning, I had to escape as it got so hot again. The hotel provides a desk fan but it is not good enough. The room needs A/C. Every room in this hotel needs A/C, whether standard or Premier Plus. Premier Inn management really needs to do something. Premier Plus rooms are wonderful as they have A/C but standard rooms do not and in this May 2026 heat they are unbearable.

This is the second stay we have had at this hotel. The location is an easy walk into the city (and close to our favourite cafe!) We had paid for the upgraded room and this was very quiet. Comfortable bed and good shower. The only negative was a lack of USB ports, so bring your adapters.

We recently stayed at the Premier Inn Duke Street in Norwich and found it to be a lovely, well-situated hotel just a short walk from the city centre and all the main attractions. The customer service was excellent throughout our stay and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had an evening meal at the hotel which was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. The main downside was the lack of parking, and the nearby multi-storey car park was quite expensive. It would be good if hotel guests could receive some form of discounted parking. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best night’s sleep as our room was next to a very busy road, so there was quite a lot of noise during the night. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay in a great location.
