Norwich City Centre (Duke Street) hotel

Lovely stay, room was clean bed comfortable. Hairdryer bit dodgy. Some food was hot some warm. Black pudding over cooked and cold.

The location is very close to the centre with the market, lots of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. The room was nice and quiet eventhough we had the window open at night. We thought the hotel breakfast was too expensive so we bought sandwiches and ate in the room. The dinner was OK. We played cards in the restaurant and was told we could sit as long as we wanted, even after they stopped serving, which was nice.

The location was very convenient, just a short walk from the centre. I am glad I stayed here rather than the Premier Inn near the station. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and on the fourth floor, so it was very quiet. It had an easy chair with a footstool, but nowhere to put clothes away apart from on hangers. Nice to have bottled water in the fridge and a variety of teas. The biggest issue was that wifi was poor. Good shower. I asked for and was given a bath mat, but it was not possible to reach the fixed toiletries when in the bath tub rather than the shower. Always plenty of hot water. For a Premier Plus room the toilet paper was poor quality. Breakfast was good and the hot food was hot. The range of options for the evening meal on the Meal Deal was reasonable. The service was variable: very quick one night but very slow on another occasion. The staff were always friendly, polite and helpful.

I have stayed at this premier inn 20 times over the past few years and every visit I am blown away by the incredible customer service of all its staff. The room is always clean and has everything you need for a short or long term stay. A special mention has to go to the breakfast and bar team who are friendly and make you feel incredibly welcome. If you are staying in Norwich then you can't go wrong with this hotel.
