Kings Lynn hotel

Our first room was on the top floor, facing the car park, and received direct sunlight throughout the day. When we returned in the evening, the temperature inside reached 36°C. We were provided with a standing fan, but this only circulated the warm air rather than cooling the room. With no air conditioning installed, it felt like sleeping in a sauna on our first night, and we could not comfortably remain there. Fortunately, a very helpful member of the reception team moved us to a ground-floor room at the rear of the building, which was noticeably cooler and far more comfortable. Given that room rates are no longer at budget levels, we believe Premier Inn should consider investing in air conditioning across all rooms to ensure comfort in warmer weather. We would have rated this stay 4 stars overall, but our experience at the attached Brewers Fayre greatly affected our impression. The service felt unengaged: food was placed down without care, and some staff appeared uninterested in their work. Presentation also fell short, with one team member looking unkempt, and the person we assumed to be the manager seeming unenthusiastic. At no point during our visits did anyone check whether our meals were satisfactory. The quality of the food was disappointing, and hygiene standards were a concern — we noticed flies and other insects around the dining area, and on one occasion, a staff member burped loudly while we were eating, which was unprofessional. This restaurant would benefit greatly from retraining focused on basic customer service, presentation, and hygiene. Unfortunately, this experience has left us unlikely to ever return.

Room was fine although had to change to downstairs as no air con and upstairs was excessively hot. The disappointment was the brewers fayre pub where we had breakfast and evening meals. Food was very low standard, tasteless, staff were miserable and not customer focused or trained. They stood around drinking and not bothered about customer service. No structure or direction. Nothing uniformed including their clothing. Won’t be going again.

The room is lovely presented and clean, the problem is the temperature, our room hit 35c at night which made it torture as we could not sleep, we had a fan which made it possible to stay in the room otherwise we would of had to vacate. The window only opened a few inches which made it worse. After 2 nights of not sleeping we went home it ruined our break away.

Horrible stay... Guy at check in was super rude and the rooms were like ovens Paid nearly £180 to be cooked Kids were like balls of sweat and was the worst nights sleep One poxy fan for the whole family.... Never again 😔 How a multimillion pound company in this day and age cant have Aircon is beyond me...

Needs air conditioning as rooms are unbearably hot. 2 fans were supplied but rooms need air-conditioning installed as a priority.
