Wirral (Heswall) hotel

Awful dated room with paint flaking off the bathroom walls /worn out carpet . .Unfriendly receptionist on arrival .Non smoking room reeked of cigarettes .Requested rooms near to each other but ended up as far apart as possible to be .Had to keep curtains closeted due to cars parking right outside windows .Wont stay there again .

A well located basic hotel, clean room, comfortable bed with all basic needs. We liked the easy refills of hot drinks and milk and the attention to security. Breakfast served in adjacent bar. It was advertised as ‘all you could eat’ but the food table was often- we stayed 3 nights- bare and the staff- helpful- had to be chased to fill up. Generally value for money and recommend.

Was met by Anne, the receptionist, who couldn't do enough for us. The room was clean and the windows could be opened to let in fresh air. Went for dinner in the restaurant, Adam, was very welcoming but did point out that some things on the menu were unavailable, as the chef had gone home ill. We managed to find something and it was delicious. We had a very comfortable nights sleep, went for breakfast, which again is in the restaurant where we were greeted by a very smiley Lisa and her colleague, they were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. As usual, the breakfast was lovely and so filling. I would definitly stay here again.

First bad review ever I have given Premier Inn. The room was extremely hot, fan in room had not been used or cleaned and when switched on the amount of fluff and dust completely filled the room, leaving my partner and myself coughing and spluttering. Complained to reception, and although apologetic were unable to do anything other than get the cleaner to clean the room the next day. Although on the first floor, the only window did not open fully enough to warrant any breeze coming in. Breakfast was its usual high quality, but felt very sorry for the one staff who had to do every thing, resulting a wait for breakfast for about 20 minutes. She could not have been apologetic and even told us that she had asked reception who incidently had two staff, for help but to no avail. It was the same for the one evening meal we ate, short staffed so waited 45 minutes for meal to be served after ordering, again very apologetic staff. Premier Inn needs to sort their staffing out for their restuarants or they will lose business.

I stayed in the hotel on a solo business trip. As a young(ish) woman I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Staff were friendly & helpful, especially the restaurant staff next door. The room was fresh & clean and appeared to have new facilities (TV, hairdryer, etc.) Highly recommended hotel
