Liverpool (West Derby) hotel

Fantastic help presented by front of house Kevin who worked extremely hard to correct an issue with Trivargo who did not transfer payment as required. 3 hours of diligent phone calls and use of professional service and help. Thank you Kevin.

This could be a really nice place to stay if it just got some basic modernisation, and did something about the rats that appeared to be everywhere around the building. The staff are all doing the best that they can with this, and were all helpful and friendly throughout.

Stay arranged for mid September to do some work at my son's, was to spend some time with him after finishing but after two nights in a 25c room with no air flow, we decided to cut it short and go home early and back to our cool bed! As I say, the room was 25c throughout the night and airless, and that was with the window open, but being on the ground floor the window only opens 100mm, and because of the outside lights we had to have the curtains pulled to all night to block out the light but had the added benefit of negating the airflow. It may have been Autumn but it was still warm outside even so a 10.5tog quilt was on the bed, it was folded up and put in the wardrobe, the heating was off and a fan supplied but this was too noisy to use through the night. How anyone staying there for work and needs their sleep does it I do not know! Due to the limited though-flow of customers the breakfast offered (extra cost) was cooked on spec but wasn't great, the bacon was hard, the sausages had shrunk, the beans were too dry and the eggs hard! It was better the second day as they went back to a buffet style so everything was kept moist by the steam, still wasn't as good as it had in the past and we had stayed there many times. Add to all that the cost of parking now and It may be better to look else where! We are booked in for Christmas, but we are hoping it is cooler by then and would look to go elsewhere if the stay could be refunded, ut for now we'll suffer it!

Lovely stay here! Great value for money, good parking spaces available, reasonable priced parking, lovely bed and shower! Thankful for added touch of a fan in the room as was warm, also want a special shout-out to Peter on the night shift. He was brilliant, so friendly, so helpful as he helped come and attempt to relocate a giant spider we spotted in the room! Sadly we didn’t find it, but he made us feel comfortable and it was no issue to come help us out, you’re a gem Peter! Thank you :) would recommended staying here, Aldi and M&S foodhall next door as well as resturant and easy location to get to - thanks for a good stay!

Good - The hotel was generally clean, check-in was fast and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fine, though we all agreed a bit too expensive. Improve - Please, PLEASE get some air conditioning!
