Liverpool (West Derby) hotel

This is our “go to” value hotel in Liverpool. It’s the fourth time we’ve stayed here. Is it award winning and special like no other hotel? No. It’s a typical, slightly dated Premier Inn. But it’s clean, has an on site car park (important to us and rare in Liverpool) the staff are brilliant and the breakfast is fabulous. We will be staying there again!

There wasn't anything massively wrong with the hotel but lots of small issues. No lift so not accessible and for me lugging a heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs wasn't a good start. The room wasn't up to the usual standards ie hairs in the sink and bath and one of the mugs was stained. The shower was poor. Very weak/low pressure. Breakfast was good though you have to go outside to the adjacent pub so not ideal if it's raining. Don't use the hotel taxi! They have a dedicated phone in the lobby but I used it three times and waited 15, then 20 minutes and on the last one, gave up after half an hour. Get an uber, much quicker! The staff were helpful and friendly but not recommended.

Lovely little premier inn which was affordable for 1 night stay as a family on a weekend trip away, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming the only downside was our room stunk of damp and musty and the beefeater next door is so expensive! We ended up going without tea however the breakfast was nice the following day. Thanks for having us, I’m sure we will be back. Only 10 minutes in car to anfield or goodison park stadium

Fantastic help presented by front of house Kevin who worked extremely hard to correct an issue with Trivargo who did not transfer payment as required. 3 hours of diligent phone calls and use of professional service and help. Thank you Kevin.

This could be a really nice place to stay if it just got some basic modernisation, and did something about the rats that appeared to be everywhere around the building. The staff are all doing the best that they can with this, and were all helpful and friendly throughout.
