"Mini-moon / birthday break"
We stayed here for a mini break the day after our wedding and for my husbands birthday weekend. They went the extra mile to make it special and it was lovely.

"Perfect Hotel & Great Staff"
Car park area is well maintained so great first impressions.
Receptionist on check in was welcoming, friendly and efficient which is exactly what you need.
Room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. Overlooked the beer garden which I thought may have been an issue but I didn’t hear a peep in the evening which was great. I was staying for 3 nights so requested some new towels on the morning of day 2, when I got back in the evening they were there ready for me in the room.
I only used the pub next door for drinks, service there was great too.
Overall top notch service and clean room! Thank you premier inn for another 10/10 stay.

"Excellent"
I’ve been staying at the Premier Inn Roby regularly for work over the past two and a half years, and I can honestly say that Claire and Paige are a huge part of what makes my stays so enjoyable.
They are always nothing but polite and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. No request is ever too much trouble for them—they consistently go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right.
What really stands out is how kind and chatty they are. They take the time to get to know guests, which makes each visit feel personal rather than routine. After such a long time staying here, it’s those little interactions that truly make a difference.
Claire and Paige are a real credit to the Premier Inn Roby, and they play a big role in making every stay a pleasure. I genuinely look forward to returning each time.

"fairly good"
We came here for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend as friends live down the road. When we arrived at the hotel, we were impressed by the welcome and how clean it was and easy to find least not neither of us do not drive and we were only a short walk from the local railway station.
Once in our rooms we were also impressed except in one room one of the large towels was not washed and it was soaking wet. We then exchanged the towel the following morning with no problems. However we were very disappointed with the shower as the filter where the water goes down had not been cleaned at all and when we lifted the lid the water was filthy and you could see this had not been cleaned for weeks and as a result dirty was coming out on to the shower bed and around our feet as this is disgusting and not acceptable and whilst it is not the best job it is a part of cleaning a bathroom. Before we left for the final time, we did report this issue and hopefully when we come again, least not to see our friends down the road the filters will be clean.
We also chose to have an evening meal next door at the Derby Lodge and also to have breakfast the following morning. If I were honest the evening meal wasn’t the best as we had calamari and crispy prawns for starters, yet the calamari was burnt and I think it is fair to say had been reheated in a microwave or even an air fryer and the crispy prawns were not much better. For our mains we both had fish and chips with mushy peas and the food was a little better with a small handful of chips and the fish was only just cooked and yet we didn’t say anything as we were both hungry and nor did we expect anything out of the ordinary.
The following morning the breakfast was also reasonable as we both had some yoghurt and berries followed by a cooked breakfast as this included baked beans, bacon, hash browns, black pudding, sausages etc. and I think the food had just been heated up again as the food was lukewarm and the plates were cold. Once again, we didn’t complain or comment as we were meeting our friends on a specific train to spend the day with them.
All in all would we stay at this hotel again, yes we would given its close proximity to the local railway station and also to our friends but would we have meals at the Derby Lodge next door when the latter wasn’t busy with both locals and other guests but at the same token there needs to be some small changes given we have stayed in similar hotels and had better experiences. The staff team we met were also reasonably friendly but as someone who used to live in Liverpool (albeit over 25 years ago), I felt the staff were not the best and not the worst but a little more friendliness least not when most Scousers pride themselves on being friendly, hospitable and fun.
