Liverpool (Roby) hotel

The hotel was easy to find and had a good off-road car park. The staff were welcoming and the registration was straightforward. The double room was rather drab in appearance and looked rather tired with some peeling wallpaper and paint knocked off corners. Also, the bathroom smelled musty, as if it had been used for smoking. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower was satisfactory, and the free wifi and the television was completely adequate. We stayed for 2 nights, but the room was not made up during the day. Overall, we felt the room was over-priced for the condition, size and appearance. The dining facilities, both for breakfast and evening meal, were of a good standard and the bar was reasonably well stocked. One small irritation was that the reception was not always manned and it was necessary to go into the bar or dining room to find a member of staff. Overall, this was an adequate, rather than a good experience: the staff were cheerful and helpful, but our room was below average.

My partner had originally booked this hotel for a night for us as a present . I want to start this off with the receptionist was lovely ; our room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfy . It could have been a little bit cleaner but it was nothing concerning . In terms of food I had a Caesar salad and I wouldn’t recommend it . The dressing was watered down no croutons very little Parmesan and it came with corn and tomatoes and just felt like a big bowl of lettuce . However my partners bbq pork ribs was very nice , so maybe I could have just ordered the wrong thing . The breakfast the next day I wouldn’t do again . When we sat down it took over half an hour to take our breakfast order to the point my partner had to go ask staff can we order . When the food arrived it was cold and just ok . However the pastries were nice and there was a good choice of cereals and other breakfast items . I probably wouldn’t stay again

An excellent comfy hotel in a very handy location for both the M62 and getting into Liverpool. Nice staff and great breakfasts.

The room was clean and comfortable and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were very helpful. Only slight problem was some menu items weren't available, but what was available was great.

Accessible room not that accessible. Bed extremely low down and shower in the bath rather than walk in. Difficult for wheelchair users like myself! Dated rooms and bar area. Bar staff appeared disorganised but reception staff very efficient. All staff friendly. Welcomed tge 360° fan in our room. Bathroom a little stale smelling and room a bit musty smelling on arrival.
