"Good location, bad housekeeping practices."
Stayed here for the Dua Lipa concert, and was in a prime location both for being picked up to be taken to Anfield and walking back from the bus drop-off point after the concert, the room was also quiet considering its location on a busy street. Staff were friendly and helpful, however we did have to pay for early check-in due to a lack of baggage storage due to the concert. The room was cool and the bathroom was adequate, was worth the money for a one night stay but probably wouldn't return if we were to do a city break here. However when my friend was going to get into her bed, she found human stains on the duvet, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this standard and we had to leave the room at 1am to find someone to change the duvet after inadequate housekeeping prior, which made the nights sleep feel uncomfortable.
"Great city hotel option"
We can on a short city break, 2 adults a teen and child in a quad family room. I book with Premier Inn for consistency. As we hoped, the room was modern and clean with very comfortable beds, a good sized tv and plenty of sockets and USB outlets. I've read about issues with aircon but we had no problem, which was handy because it was hot. The breakfast was good value for money as kids eat free with a paying adult. We had an issue with keycards which was sorted promptly and I needed gluten free bread etc at breakfast. Staff were super in general. This hotel is perfectly located for for city centre attractions as the museums, cinema, shopping, restaurants and Albert Dock are within walking distance.
"Great location and good hotel."
We stayed here in June for 2 nights and we had a great time. We arrived at Liverpool One bus station and walked to this hotel in less than 5 minutes. We arrived a bit early, and they let us check in rather than wait for check-in time. The staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The room was nice and clean and same as any other Premier Inn hotel room. The hotel itself was quiet and we didn't have any noise disturbance. We had breakfast, and it was okay. You had your cooked breakfast buffet, a selection of cereals, a selection of pastries and fruit, and yoghurts available. They had coffee machines and hot water for teas with a variety of tea bags. Also, juices and water are available. There wasn't an option for hot chocolate. The location of the hotel was brilliant for what we wanted to do. It was walking distance to the shops and high street. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. Around the corner from the hotel is a Whetherspoons pub. We walked to the Royal Albert Docks from this hotel, and it didn't take long. The hotel is also walking distance to Matthew Street if you want to check out the Cavern Club and other bars around that area. Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel.
"Worst service ever"
We checked in on 3/7/25 and had issues with our room key since then. This evening I sought assistance from reception as my room key was yet again not working. Firstly after waiting a while at reception with no one available to help, I went to the bar area and was met with hostility by Abdul who raised his voice at me and said that I should wait at reception and he would come when he had time. After waiting a while he eventually came through and after me addressing the tone of his voice, he shouted at me once again saying that this was not his problem and if I have an issue I must raise it with head office. The total lack of empathy and disregard for the customer was shocking, he had no way of speaking and just lashed out at me for the bad day he was obviously having. This is my first time staying at the Premier Inn and will certainly be the last
"Excellent reception staff"
Excellent reception staff when we visited on the afternoon of 28 June. Poor chap (dark hair) was trying to juggle everything thrown at him but remained professional and courteous throughout. With my check in problem (self inflicted) he went out of his way to help. He’s an asset to the the hotel and I hope his hard work is appreciated by other customers and the company. I will never forget how he went above and beyond helping me and my children in what was a very stressful time! Thank you so much. Sarah
