Liverpool City Centre (Liverpool One) hotel

Plus Points Hotel in a very good location. Room clean. Negative Points Only had one hand towel Found staff not very friendly Room allocated very small and pokey despite booking a Premier Plus room. Small window misted up, although the outlook grim overlooking the roofs, plant and very ugly buildings. Mattress unusually old and lumpy the worst I have every slept on in a Premier Inn. WIFI very slow and poor service. Hairdryers designed to switch off if you don’t hold your finger down all the time, No signage for this and the quality of them seemed poor quality & my wife struggled to use it. Went to the bar to purchase a drink on our first night, they had two main draught beers not available not a good start. Had a real problem to secure more milk jiggers three members of the team involved only one really cared about helping me. You would have thought I was asking for gold. I didn't expect them to clean our room but surely a few milks doesn't cost that much. The whole place needs upgrading and the basic standards which you expect in a PI were sadly missing and need restoring. Very in-personal place, we realise that there has been a great deal of cut backs with the teams but this has really put us off staying now in future Premier Inns

Central and easy to reach hotel, fully accessible. The room smelled of smoke and that's why I had to leave the window always open. Too bad there was a very noisy external ventilation duct that prevented me from sleeping. I stayed with a baby and I asked the reception several times during my stay to clean the room, but it was never done. I picked up clean towels at the reception several times. Good breakfast but I don't recommend dinner.

Not amazing. Room clean. Bedding and towels clean. Room 226 had mouldy slimy black stuff on bath plug and plug chain. Shower head also had black mould on. TV signal was terrible. WiFi and air con worked. Plates for hot breakfast were ice cold. Apparently the plate heater broke many months ago.

I booked a Premier Plus room over 2 nights for a stay over to visit Liverpool. We were put in Room 528 and to be honest the room was terrible: 1. Bathroom drain stunk of sewerage. Even the staff member that helped us change rooms noticed how bad it was (very bad). 2. Rain shower head mostly blocked. 3. Paint peeling in the bedroom next to the bed. 4. Mirror light broken (the switch did nothing) so impossible for my wife to see properly. 5. Faulty hairdryer did not turn on at all. All these problems were confirmed by the staff member that helped us out the following morning and we got moved to another room for the second night. Why didn't we complain before sleeping one night? Well the bathroom smell was just about okay the first evening but got progressively worse through the night, and the shower, mirror and hairdryer were not used until the morning. I raised a complaint as we paid a lot for the first night (it coincided with the Labour Conference in Liverpool) but other than saying sorry, Premier Inn refused to offer any sort of compensation for the room (we may as well have stayed in a "normal" room).

Very good central location and everything on par as a Premier Inn. Good early check in helped us get a full afternoon in Liverpool. Good sized clean room, great bed and good value
