"Family break"
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the location was great. Upon checkin we found the self service check in machines useless, after paying my money for the room it wouldn't activate room keys so I spent 20 minutes waiting for staff to help me access my room keys. There was a queue of atleast 10 people waiting for help. On first inspection the room looked ok but when I pulled out the pull-out bed from underneath the double bed it was absolutely filthy, so thick with dust you could write your name in it. I asked the cleaning lady in the corridor if she would mind cleaning it and she gladly did, but I was surprised she wasnt shocked at the state of it she threw on top of it and hoovered it. I took videos of how dirty it was. We had a 3 night stay and not once was the room cleaned and if you wanted fresh towels you had to ask reception but no point as they are never there. The electricity kept going on and off in our room so i had to put a peice if cardboard in the card thing beside the door as we coulent watch tv our even charge our phones. The service in the bar was terrible. The bar staff are also on reception so you could be waiting a while depending on what service you need. There is no cleaning staff on a regular basis, there was a pizza box on the floor near our room for 3 days before it was removed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It was the first premier inn I stayed in and I'd hate to think they are all the same.
"Good central location"
A good central location with easy parking at the Q Park 2 minutes walk away. The only issue I had was checking in. They wanted to charge £15 to check in even 10 minutes early before 15:00. No one wants to pay that, having no flexibility with the fee means at 15:00 check is a nightmare. Lots of people waiting to check in using machines that are not the easiest to use. No staff to assist with checking in until another customer fetched someone to help. Give the staff flexibility to allow early check ins for free if the room is ready. It puts a smile on people faces, is zero cost to Premier Inn and makes a better customer experience. Sort it out premier inn.

The hotel was absolutely fine, what made our stay great was the several staff members who went above and beyond- sorting out room allocation & fixing an issue with our keycards in a very friendly and efficient way. A special thank you to Alistair, who sorted out gluten free breakfasts for the kids & helped us store and collect our luggage after we'd checked out. He was unwaveringly friendly, polite and efficient & he really could not have done more to help us, an absolute top-notch member of staff . He put a big smile on all of our faces, thank you, Alistair.
"Worst nights sleep ever"
Check in very slow due to lack of staff. Room ok. Fire doors were propped open. Fire alarm went off 7 times on 6th July. We all got dressed the first time expecting to have to leave the building and the fire brigade to arrive. Nothing happened so went back to bed and this happened persistently throughout the night. The manager came on at 6.30 am and reset the system however in doing this she set the alarm off a few more times. Worst nights sleep we’ve ever had
"Great location. Walking distance for all the tourist parts."
The hotel location is very good indeed. (Handy Tesco next door!). Premier Inn standard hotel, what you'd expect. Car parking is local, so expect a short walk. I found the staff helpful and engaging. Remember, this is a Hen and Stag party capital, Friday and Saturday nights will be rocking. This hotel sits just outside Concert Square (very popular), although I had no street noise or any distance humm of late night noise. In fact, I had the very best of 2 nights' sleep. The seagulls squarking at all hours was worse than the party revellers, but that's not the hotels fault!! Recommended.
