Liverpool City Centre (Albert Dock) hotel

the hotel is tired and needs a refresh. However the real issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom, which had a stained toilet pedestal. despite reporting this and the housekeeper telling reception that they had addressed it before going home, the stains were still there. This left me having to clean off stale urine stains. I have stayed in many Premier Inss and never had such an experience. I won't be staying in this one again.

Awful smell by the lift gave a very bad first impression. We were with friends whose air con wasn't working. We were lucky that the air con was working in our room otherwise we would probably have left as everywhere was very stuffy. Would not recommend until the place is cleaned up and air con fixed. I am amazed that any hotel would let out rooms that basically cooked you. They should be reported.

As others have said below there is no working air-conditioning in the rooms, they are sweat boxes as the windows are locked closed and all you have is a desk fan to circulate the boiling hot air, oh and they have left the super thick winter duvet on to. End result is no sleep and suffering the worst dehydration I have ever experienced that has taken me over 36hrs to recover from. When I booked the rooms were advertised with aircon, they have removed that now!! the rooms without working air-conditioning are unhabitable and should not be available, for your own safety avoid this hotel, I have used Premier Inn previously hence using them for this trip but this was the worst experience I have ever had, it doesn't even deserve 1 star but I can leave less!

Stayed 1 night in July 2026 and glad we only booked 1 as originally was considering 2. As others have already said...rooms far too hot and air con not working. Windows screwed shut so no hope of a breeze. Hotel must have known air con wasn't working as we were greeted when entering the room by a small desk fan and a large floor fan. Trying to sleep with these going was like having an aircraft in the room with us. Lighting inadequate, no Celing lights the large floor lamp had no bulb. Only one plug one side of the bed I would expect bear minimum a plug socket on both sides only one towel provided for 2 guests. Breakfast - absolute chaos. Only one server working , tables piled high with dirty plates, crockery and cutlery, no one in the whole 45mins we were there appeared to clear them which left guests clearing Thier own tables just piling more and more on the few empty tables. Food bar initially empty, people standing around waiting for more hot food. Most of the coffee options weren't working on one machine which left a big queue on the other. Awful. Will never return to this. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Tried to complain....no staff on reception. Tried to submit a complaint via Thier website and suprise suprise....an error occurred. Shocking.

The only good thing about our stay was the location. The air conditioning wasn't working in our room and we only found out after we opened the door and went in. Nothing was mentioned during check in. The room was very hot, the windows couldn't be opened and the fans that were already in the room were very loud and had to be turn off to get to sleep. Resulting in very little sleep through the night as it was so hot.
