    "Amazing staff let down by a failing centre"
    We stay in many Premier Inns prior to cruise departure. This one is by far the worst. Whilst the team are amazing; friendly, helpful and courteous, they are hugely let down by a tired and dirty centre which has lacked investment by the company. The said conditioning wasn’t working and the windows are sealed. We didn’t sleep a wink as the small room quickly ran out of any air. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the USB socket, (just the one) didn’t work. The decor is tired and dirty with stains on the walls and rust inside the kettle. We have written to head office to express our deep concerns.

    We stayed at the Premier Inn, Birkenhead for one night before catching the ferry to Belfast, and overall, it was a really pleasant experience. While the hotel itself could probably do with a bit of a refresh by Premier Inn standards, what it may lack in updated decor, it more than makes up for with warmth, charm, and excellent service. The check-in process was quick and easy, and we were met with a lovely welcome from Stacey at reception. Big shout-out to her – she was an absolute delight, full of energy, great fun, and couldn’t do enough for us. A real credit to the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom that had good shower pressure and complimentary body wash. One thing we really appreciated was the air conditioning – we stayed in July when it was warm outside, so the cool room was a real bonus! There’s ample parking on-site, and Stacey kindly gave us a discount code that saved us a few pounds on overnight parking. But perhaps the biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It’s just a 5-minute drive from the Birkenhead ferry terminal, making it super convenient if you’re catching the ferry to or from Belfast. Would we stay again? Absolutely. It’s a solid, convenient option with top-notch staff and all the essentials covered.

    Easily the best hotel I have stayed in on The Wirral. New and shiny, everything works and there's even a lift! Staff are excellent and friendly.
