"Good value alternative to staying in Liverpool"
Good -
Super comfy bed, quiet room, good food menu.
Friendly staff (particularly the breakfast team!)
Inexpensive compared with staying the other side of the Mersey.
Just a straight forward, 5 minute walk to the railway station where there are trains into Liverpool every 10/15 minutes (3 minute journey!)
Not so good -
'Challenging' to find by car on your first visit as it's right by the entrance to the Mersey Tunnel (yes, like, reportedly, many others we had to pay to for a round trip through the tunnel to get back to the hotel on our first attempt!).
Virtually nowhere else to eat nearby.

"Horrendous hotel with staff who discriminate against people with disabilities and run out of food during breakfast time!"
Me and my son stayed at this Premier Inn in Birkenhead Town Centre yesterday and upon arrival even though I had already checked in online we were made to line up! (Even though my son has Autism which I told them about but they didn't seem to care and directed us to the back of the line!) When we reached the check-in desk we was told to collect our keys from the self service kiosk because we had already checked in online, I did that but it wouldn’t activate my key so I had to get to the back of the line (again) to get my key activated! There was a lot of delays and issues with rooms still not being ready (even though it was well after 3:30pm when check-in is from 3pm) when we did get our key and was able to goto our room to leave our bags we had to rush off to attend the Everton vs Chelsea match and only just made the kick-off due to the delay being allowed to get into our room!
When we returned back to the hotel later my son was using the Wi-Fi Ultimate I had pad extra for and had issues with not only its poor speed, but also kept disconnecting!
Then this morning me and my son went down for breakfast at around 9:40am only to be told that they had run out of sausages and constantly tired to tell us to go somewhere else to eat! (Regardless of the fact I had paid for our breakfast in advance!)
I said sorry we are hungry if we have to go without sausages that’s a sacrifice we will make! (But it's absolutely ridiculous a Premier Inn runs out of food for its guests)
We then sat down and I went to serve my son some hot food and all that was left was a little bit of scrambled eggs, tomato’s and mushrooms! I served my son the remaining scrambled eggs and went to get him some pancakes to go with it and surprise there was none! I ask the lady who dealt with us if they could give me some pancakes and get the hot food stocked up? Her reply was: I TOLD YOU THERE WAS NO SAUSAGES!
I said all that’s left are tomatoes and mushrooms! Her response was breakfast is almost finished (I thought breakfast finishes at 11am not 10am?) and she told us to go somewhere else to eat!
I asked could she at least get my son a couple of pancakes which she reluctantly did!
My son ate his very small breakfast and we left the dining area as there was no food to eat for me (there wasn’t even any milk left for me to have a bowl of cereal at least)
I then went out around the area near the hotel for something to eat but there was absolutely nothing!
So when I returned I approached someone else who said they was a manager and apologised and said they would refund my breakfast (which was a lie as that never happened) she told me that the woman who originally dealt with me was only a customer service representative but should have gone to the back and had a hot breakfast prepared of items of my choice (with the exception of the sausages the hotel had run out off)
I had a very positive experience when me and my son stayed at the Premier Inn at Newcastle Millennium Bridge, but our stay at this particular hotel in Birkenhead has undone that previous positive experience!
This Premier Inn is a total disaster! Poor or no Wi-Fi, not letting people get into their rooms because the rooms aren’t ready then turning people away from having breakfast because they've allegedly run out of sausages and not wanting to serve other food because the workers lie to guests saying breakfast is nearly finished at 10am because they don’t want to prepare any more hot food!
I raised this issue with Premier Inns customers service and they said they refunded the breakfast charge, but what they actually did was charge my card for another breakfast (without my authorisation!)
So I paid for 2 breakfasts I never had and the customer service at Premier Inn are insisting they refunded me and never charged my card again even with me sending them the evidence they did!
Avoid this Premier Inn at all costs! Better still avoid Premier Inn as they are nothing more than dishonest thieves!

"Premier Inn came to the rescue! Birkenhead"
A last minute booking (1 hour before!) as we had been let down with the quality of another booking elsewhere.
Easy to find and easy parking on site, although payable, which was a bit weird, but hey ho.
Receptionist booked us in very efficiently.
Room was as per we were expecting, clean, nice bed, drink making facilities, TV, sufficient bathroom etc etc.
Restaurant was ok, a bit empty first of all. Ordered 2 meals but were luke warm when they arrived. Asked if they could be heated up nice and hot and was sorted. Was quite tasty and we felt ok afterwards.
Room was fine, quite quiet and so had a good night's sleep.
The morning receptionist was very helpful with advice, as we decided to leave our car in car park and catch the train back to Liverpool.
Had a good time sightseeing and very impressed with the city etc.

"Great hotel, clean premises, friendly and accommodating staff plus don’t miss breakfast"
Second time staying at this Premier Inn Liverpool, definitely would recommend to anyone looking for friendly staff, clean hotel and great breakfast plus only a short car or taxi ride into Liverpool city centre. A big shout out to all the staff but unfortunately only got the names of two, Stacey (you missed your vocation in stand up comedy) and Toni.

"Pleasant stay!"
Had a great couple of nights, room was clean, location was convenient as we just needed to get 1 train from the nearby station to get to the centre of Liverpool and Albert Dock. Really enjoyed the breakfast!
