"Awful. Just awful. Avoid if you have accesibility needs"
We booked an accessible room and it was awful. Not only was it dirty but it was just awful, accessibility-wise. The wet room was truly, truly the worst i've ever encountered in a hotel. The entire thing felt like a biohazard. The corner with the shower had loads of mold and mildew (i actually bought my own cleaning supplies to clean it) and the shower chair was grim. It had rust and mildew all over it. The rails would not stay up to allow my mum to maneuver into the shower. There was also nowhere for her to put her products that was within reaching distance as she can't keep standing up as she is a barely ambulant wheelchair user (hence the need for an accessible room). This resulted in her having to give up some of her dignity and have me in the bathroom with her to hand her things which was then compounded by the fact that there was ONLY ONE SHOWER CURTAIN (despire there being hooks for another one) so she was mostly exposed to the room. I had to literally stand facing the corner. They were also only knee length which resulted in the entire room getting soaked whenever one of us showered. I have a wet room in my house so I know for a fact that you can easily have full length, or at worst almost full length, curtains just as easily as the single monstrosity you provided us with.
The beds were okay but the floor was covered, and I do mean covered, in thick dust between the beds. Now the room wasn't ready for our pre-requested early check-in as they had got their wires crossed and had us as a double bed not twin singles so the beds had to be hastily separated but that doesn't make it okay as the full floor should be hoovered regularly?!
We were also only provided with one large towel and received an eye roll when I requested more.
The door to the bathroom was also horrendous. It had no lower runner so could be quite literally pulled away from the frame to a good 30° angle. It was extremely heavy and stiff, with a chunk of metal sticking out of the upper lintel which meant that my mum couldn't close the door flush to the frame. This is totally unnecessary as if the door was on good runners, she could have very easily slid it open. The door also didn't open fully wide without some real physical effort so she couldn't go into the wet room herself without me going and yanking the door open and closed for her.
Considering that we spent £945 for our stay we feel beyond ripped off and will never be staying at this location ever again. Quite frankly, i'd be amazed if we ever use the company again.

"Noisy room due to the extractor fan downstairs"
Don’t book room 420 top floor. We was Hearing rumblings in our room and it kept the Wife awake later. We found out that next door was the extractor fan room for the restaurant and it was on all night and day. This company bang on about a great night sleep. but they will show you a room that is noisy.
I think next time I will try the new hotel up the road.

"Peaceful stay"
Great. All we require is a clean room and bathroom and for us to be able to sleep peacefully after an evening out. The soundproofing must be amazing because we didn't hear anything either inside or outside.

"Reasonable"
Stayed here for 2 nights as going to see Jasper carrott at the embassy theatre (10 minutes walk). Presume hotel fairly new. 4vstoreys, we were on the 3rd floor. Lovely view along sea front, unfortunately hotel windows do not open. Air con instead. It was still very warm in room with the heat wave. Stools instead of bedside tables. Bed OK but pillows were soft. Shower in bath. Only one hand towel which was quite rough. Kettle was a bit tatty, only enough tea and coffee for two cups each. Key card is needed to,operate the lift. Lift is bug enough to takevp mobility scooter but we left ours in reception. Parking was £4.00 for 24 hours but has been increased to £4.80 now run by horizon parking. Staff were helpful. Had breakfast in the adjoining cookhouse +pub. Breakfast all you can eat, and enough of it. Also had one dinner there, expectabke premier inn. Would probably consider again if we were off to Skegness again.
